What gives a dollar bill its value? - Doug Levinson

03:52
View full lesson: http://ed.ted.com/lessons/what-gives-a-dollar-bill-its-value-doug-levinson The value of money is determined by how much (or how little) of it is in circulation. But who makes that decision, and how does their choice affect the economy at large? Doug Levinson takes a trip into the United States Federal Reserve, examining how the people who work there aim to balance the value of the dollar to prevent inflation or deflation. ● We explain topics simply. So Subscribe if you want to learn while being entertained. ✔ Please like the video and comment if you enjoyed - it helps a lot! ▶ If you want a question answered then ask in the comments and we may make a video about it! About the video: You may have traveled a lot and wondered why you get more of one currency when you exchange it for another. If so, you have witnessed exchange rates in action, but do you know how they work? Watch the video to find out what exchange rates are, how to convert between them and the different systems which determine a currencies exchange rate. Historically the gold standard system had been used, which fixed currency to a select value of gold, held in a vault. The three main systems are the floating, managed and fixed exchange rate systems. The floating system has minimal government intervention, using supply and demand to determine the exchange rate. The managed exchange rate is allowed to be within a permitted band and a fixed exchange rate is usually pegged to a currency with the interest of being competitive in the international market. The video explains this in more detail and with helpful picture to guide you through the subject.

Why K stands for 1000?What does k means in money,Refreshing news for you.CHAMBz BANG

01:29
क्यों कहा जाता है 1000 को K ? What does k means in texting? What does k means? What does 1k means in money? What does 1k means? K comes form the Greek kilo which means a thousand. In the metric system lower case k designates kilo as in kg for kilogram, a thousand grams. Even here there is some ambiguity. In the language of computer science K is 210 = 1024. The simple answer is that Kilogram means Thousand. The more complex answers is that the French took the Greek word for thousand "Chilioi" and shortened it to "Kilo" and then made new words like Kiloliter, Kiliwatt, Kilogram, Kilotonne, etc. The abbreviation KG for Kilo references Kilograms and means 1000 grams. The letter "K" is used to represent 1000, because it represents the prefix "kilo," which means 1000 of something in the metric system. For instance, kilogram means 1000 CHAMBzBANG,chambzbang, chambz bang,CHAMBz BANG, #K1000 #CHAMBzBANG

When Should You Buy A Used Roland Module? (Best Value For Your Money)

06:45
If you're thinking about picking up a used Roland flagship drum module like a TD50/TD30/TD10/TD20, the question is: "how do I time the release of a new Roland drumset, so I get an older one for the best price. On average, Roland releases a new flagship module ever 6 years. So the TD60 isn't going to show up until 2022 if that trend continues. For most, waiting that long isn't an option. Of the used modules available right now, I think the TD30 module offers the best value for the money. The TD10/20 are too old, they don't have usb midi, and they don't sound very good. The TD50 is nearly $2000 used. At the moment, it looks like the TD30 is the way to go for most drummers in this situation. ✅65 Drums Tshirt Store! https://teespring.com/stores/65-drums-merch-2 ✅My Favorite Drum Throne: http://amzn.to/2pOAmjD ✅My Favorite Edrum Headphones: http://amzn.to/2uJRZaI ✅Extension 1/4th Inch Cables For Edrum Cable Snake: http://amzn.to/2wIcSUQ ✅My Favorite Way To Record Electronic Drums: http://amzn.to/2oSArli (Here's a tutorial on how to use it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaOYHSNZ0Wk) 🔴Disclaimer: Those amzn links earn the channel a small commission if you make a purchase at no additional cost to you. ✔️Click This Link To Subscribe! https://www.youtube.com/c/65Drums?sub_confirmation=1 ✔️ That Social Media Stuff: Facebook: 65 Drums Instagram: 65.Drums Twitter: 65_Drums

Fortnite building skills and destructible environments combined with intense PvP combat. The last one standing wins. Available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One & Mac. Battle royale games are played between a large number of individual players or a number of small squads (typically up to four or five players). In each match the goal is to be the last player or last team standing by eliminating all other opponents. A match starts by placing the player-characters into a large map space which may have random distribution or allow players to have some control of where they start. All players start with minimal equipment, giving no player an implicit advantage at the onset though games allow players to customize the appearance of their character. Randomly scattered around the map are weapons, armor, vehicles, and other items that are beneficial for combat and survival. Players need to search the map for these items while avoid being killed by other players. Equipment from eliminated players can be looted as well. The safe area of the map decreases in size around a randomly selected point throughout the match forcing surviving players into closer quarters and increasing the chance of player encounters. ► Music: (http://www.youtube.com/user/CHUKImusic) Instrumental produced by Chuki. Offering value for money does not mean being the cheapest!

03:17
Offering value for money is vitally important in this business. If you have an awesome property in a great location, finished to a high standard and you provide fantastic customer service then you can charge a high price which people will be happy to pay because it is good value! If you are offering a property/service lacking in these things then your price HAS to reflect that or people will feel ripped off and your reviews will suffer. Yes a better finish or a bigger/better apartment costs more but you make your money back because you can charge higher prices! In the example prices I quoted in the video, a difference of £55 p/n results in over £20k difference in income over the year (If 365 nights sell for those exact prices) Let me know what you think in the comments!
What is MONEY ILLUSION? What does MONEY ILLUSION mean? MONEY ILLUSION meaning & explanation

02:59
What is MONEY ILLUSION? What does MONEY ILLUSION mean? MONEY ILLUSION meaning - MONEY ILLUSION definition - MONEY ILLUSION explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. In economics, money illusion, or price illusion, refers to the tendency of people to think of currency in nominal, rather than real, terms. In other words, the numerical/face value (nominal value) of money is mistaken for its purchasing power (real value) at a previous point in the general price level (in the past). This is false, as modern fiat currencies have no intrinsic value and their real value is derived from all the underlying value systems in an economy, e.g., sound government, sound economics, sound education, sound legal system, sound defence, etc. The change in this real value over time is indicated by the change in the Consumer Price Index over time. The term was coined by Irving Fisher in Stabilizing the Dollar. It was popularized by John Maynard Keynes in the early twentieth century, and Irving Fisher wrote an important book on the subject, The Money Illusion, in 1928. The existence of money illusion is disputed by monetary economists who contend that people act rationally (i.e. think in real prices) with regard to their wealth. Eldar Shafir, Peter A. Diamond, and Amos Tversky (1997) have provided empirical evidence for the existence of the effect and it has been shown to affect behaviour in a variety of experimental and real-world situations. Shafir et al. also state that money illusion influences economic behaviour in three main ways: Price stickiness. Money illusion has been proposed as one reason why nominal prices are slow to change even where inflation has caused real prices or costs to rise. Contracts and laws are not indexed to inflation as frequently as one would rationally expect. Social discourse, in formal media and more generally, reflects some confusion about real and nominal value. Money illusion can also influence people's perceptions of outcomes. Experiments have shown that people generally perceive an approximate 2% cut in nominal income with no change in monetary value as unfair, but see a 2% rise in nominal income where there is 4% inflation as fair, despite them being almost rational equivalents. This result is consistent with the 'Myopic Loss Aversion theory'. Furthermore, the money illusion means nominal changes in price can influence demand even if real prices have remained constant.

Buy Inexpensive Budget Knives - Best Value For Money Knife Review - Cheap, Good Quality Lock Knives

08:31
In this knife review I ask why buy inexpensive budget knives - are they good value for money and what makes cheap, good quality lock knives a sensible investment. In this locking knife review I give my opinions on value for money, budget range knives and look at four inexpensive locking knives that are manufactured in China. In response to 'cheap knives are crap', I give my reasons why that statement is so much rubbish. With so many high end, branded knife manufactures offering a range of their knives in the budget sector, yet still being name branded but made in China, I see no problem with the unbranded models. These cheaper pocket knives are ideal for EDC and survival and perform as good as their far more expensive rivals. These budget EDC knives offer great value for money with superb build quality. A folding knife is ideal everyday carry and my knife review shows they are more than capable of that. A cheap lock knife does not mean cheap materials or build quality. In fact most budget knives are very good quality and offer great value for money. Essentially any knife is a good knife in a survival situation, and inexpensive, budget range knives certasinly perform very well when pitched against over priced branded knives. The lock knives I show here are not full on survival or hunting knives and, so long as you treat them as such, will last and perform very well. Build quality is good and the materials used stack up against any other comparable knife, so simply being branded as a budget, inexpensive or value for money knife can sometimes be missleading. The knives I compare are a Ganzo, Brother and and Enlan, all lockers, one with a liner lock, the others with an axis lock. I also have separate reviews of each here: Ganzo G7392: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhA3cVPCE_g Enlan EL-02: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ws1NODm7gY Ganzo G729: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QN8CsTkwZRg Brother 1601: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHO7uArhfP8 To buy any of these knives direct from manufactures ~ here's the links: prices as of: December 2016 - Ganzo G7392 ~ £14 http://www.gearbest.com/pocket-knives-and-folding-knives/pp_397090.html?lkid=10215013 Enlan EL-02 ~ £11 http://www.gearbest.com/pocket-knives-and-folding-knives/pp_254454.html?wid=21&lkid=10133418 Ganzo G729 ~ £14 http://www.gearbest.com/pocket-knives-and-folding-knives/pp_267528.html?wid=21&lkid=10123441 Brother 1601 ~ £15 http://www.gearbest.com/pocket-knives-and-folding-knives/pp_354979.html?lkid=10210651 Whether you agree with me or not, please leave a comment below. Shield of Baal: DEATHSTORM Official SS82 Review! Value for money? Here I review the new release from Games Workshop for Warhammer 40K - Shield of Baal: DEATHSTORM! I take a good look at the contents and new models and rules. I also reveal just how good value these box sets are! You'll be amazed! Enjoy the video!:) Thanks for watching! I really hope you enjoy the content! I make no personal claim to glory, I'm just a regular wargamer who has decided to share my content on youtube! Hope you enjoy the videos as they are produced and released, and I'm always happy to hear your comments and feedback! Getting in to 40k was no accident! Really it all began at school when a friend of mine brought in his 40k Rule Book and I was inspired by what I saw! I've been into the wargames hobby in general now for years and really enjoy it! I guess the good thing about wargames is the fact you can fight it out with your opponent on the wargames table without the worry of personal injury to yourself - well most of the time anyway! (I'm not exactly a body builder size wise)! For my video camera is use a Canon EOS 60D DSLR Camera (Canon Digital Camera) with Image Stabilization lenses (Macro Lens, and Telephoto Lens - just the original kit lenses that came with the camera, and a 50mm F 1.4 Lens). For my camera tripod I use a lightweight Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod, and for sound capture / sound recording I use a Rhode Directional Condenser Video Microphone (Rhode VideoMic) which I think does a great job! Enjoy the content and hope this channel is an inspiration to all you painters and player out there on the web!

What is PARADOX OF VALUE? What does PARADOX OF VALUE mean? PARADOX OF VALUE meaning & explanation

What is PARADOX OF VALUE? What does PARADOX OF VALUE mean? PARADOX OF VALUE meaning - PARADOX OF VALUE definition - PARADOX OF VALUE explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. The paradox of value (also known as the diamond–water paradox) is the apparent contradiction that, although water is on the whole more useful, in terms of survival, than diamonds, diamonds command a higher price in the market. The philosopher Adam Smith is often considered to be the classic presenter of this paradox, although it had already appeared as early as Plato's Euthydemus. Nicolaus Copernicus, John Locke, John Law and others had previously tried to explain the disparity. In a passage of Adam Smith's An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations, he discusses the concepts of value in use and value in exchange, and notices how they tend to differ: What are the rules which men naturally observe in exchanging them for money or for one another, I shall now proceed to examine. These rules determine what may be called the relative or exchangeable value of goods. The word VALUE, it is to be observed, has two different meanings, and sometimes expresses the utility of some particular object, and sometimes the power of purchasing other goods which the possession of that object conveys. The one may be called "value in use;" the other, "value in exchange." The things which have the greatest value in use have frequently little or no value in exchange; on the contrary, those which have the greatest value in exchange have frequently little or no value in use. Nothing is more useful than water: but it will purchase scarcely anything; scarcely anything can be had in exchange for it. A diamond, on the contrary, has scarcely any use-value; but a very great quantity of other goods may frequently be had in exchange for it. Furthermore, he explained the value in exchange as being determined by labor: The real price of every thing, what every thing really costs to the man who wants to acquire it, is the toil and trouble of acquiring it. Hence, Smith denied a necessary relationship between price and utility. Price on this view was related to a factor of production (namely, labor) and not to the point of view of the consumer. The best practical example of this is saffron (the most expensive spice), where much of its value derives from both the low yield from growing it and the disproportionate amount of labor required to extract it. Proponents of the labor theory of value saw that as the resolution of the paradox. The labor theory of value has lost popularity in mainstream economics and has been replaced by the theory of marginal utility. The theory of marginal utility, which is based on the subjective theory of value, says that the price at which an object trades in the market is determined neither by how much labor was exerted in its production, as in the labor theory of value, nor on how useful it is on the whole. Rather, its price is determined by its marginal utility. The marginal utility of a good is derived from its most important use to a person. So, if someone possesses a good, he will use it to satisfy some need or want. Which one? Naturally, the one that takes highest-priority. Eugen von Böhm-Bawerk illustrated this with the example of a farmer having five sacks of grain.

BEST MAKEUP PRODUCT OF THE MONTH!!!!

01:44
Please watch: "WARNING. YOU'RE BEING LIED TO." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1lovMzixm0 -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- If you're looking for the value for money and a product that actually does what it says - you're in for a treat :) In order for a product to actually get product of the week/month or even a RAVE it needs to have the following: Value for money Provide enough quantity (what's the point in an amazing product if you hardly get any and/or costs the earth?) Does what it says on the tin Makeup Atelier Paris Waterproof Concealer is everything Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener should have been. If you were to buy the Bobbi Brown version it would cost you £190!!!!!! plus to get the same amount that Makeup Atelier Paris provide! Isn't that enough of a reason to buy it! Yet Makeup Atelier Paris charge only £11! And its waterproof! Will it crease? Yep. All concealers crease but this is very good and creases only minimally. It comes in different shades the best part is that they are "corrector" shades - meaning they have a "HINT" of peach to them - so they brighten under the eyes rather than "lighten". My favourite shades are the apricot shades as these really do brighten - and women of colour - these (apricot shades) will really enliven the complexion. Apricot shades are very similar to Bobbi Brown Bisque/Peach correctors (which are also very good). not interested in apricot shades - don't worry - they do others also. I believe stocks are low at love-makeup but i know they will be getting more in soon. You can get these from  www.love-makeup.co.uk (UK and Europe)  www.ateliermaquillage.com (to find a nearest stockist) I paid for my products and continue to do so. I am not affiliated with any company whatsoever.

What is PRIZE BOND? What does PRIZE BOND mean? PRIZE BOND meaning, definition & explanation

What is PRIZE BOND? What does PRIZE BOND mean? PRIZE BOND meaning - PRIZE BOND definition - PRIZE BOND explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ A Prize Bond is a lottery bond, a non-interest bearing security issued on behalf of the Irish Minister for Finance by the Prize Bond Company Limited. Funds raised are used to offset government borrowing and are refundable to the bond owner on demand. Interest is returned to bond owners via prizes which are distributed by means of random selection of bonds. Prize Bonds are also offered in Pakistan, by the Ministry of Finance, and in the UK, under the name Premium Bonds. The 1956 Finance (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act is the primary legislation under which the bonds are authorised; the similar concept of Premium Bonds were introduced in the United Kingdom at the same time. Bonds were first sold in March 1957, with the first draw held in September of that year. Originally the Bank of Ireland, as the government's banker, was the operator of the scheme. When the scheme commenced, the biannual draws were in September and March where by means of six drums the winning serial number was drawn randomly; in 1972 the serial number was increased from six to seven digits for bonds issued after that time. In 1993 regulation was made for the conduct of the draws on a weekly basis using a computer-driven random number generator to determine winning numbers. The Prize Bond Company is a joint venture between the founders An Post and FEXCO and is based in Killorglin, County Kerry. The company was created in 1989 with issued share capital between the founders of 50% each and will operate the scheme under its current (as of 2011) contract until the end of 2019. Employees of the Prize Bond Company are seconded from the respective partner, FEXCO is responsible for administration, whilst An Post is responsible for accounting and marketing in addition to conducting the draws. The National Treasury Management Agency is responsible for the regulation of the company, since the Agency was establishment in 1990. Originally bonds could be purchased as in units of five Irish pounds, with a minimum purchase of L10. Today the unit price is 6.25 Euros (equivalent to IRL4.92 at the final fixed exchange rate) and a minimum purchase of €25 is required. In September 2009 the Prize Bond fund exceeded €1bn for the first time. The weekly draw is held on Fridays at 12:30 in the General Post Office, Dublin. Prizes range from just €50 to a jackpot of €50,000 except for the last draw in second month when the jackpot is €1m. Typically (2013) each weekly draw awards over 8,000 prizes with a total value about €0.5m (or about €1.5m for the bimonthly draw). The annual prize giveaway is currently (2013) 1.75% of the total fund. Winnings are tax free within Ireland. There have been some concerns that the bonds do not represent value for money for the government. Of particular concern is the cost of administration relative to the cost of interest on borrowings.

Put 'em in your pocket! Join our character Gerry in his hometown by the sea as he investigates the values of common US coins. Gerry buys ice cream, dill pickles, and even describes a little bit about the history of the presidents whose faces adorn US coins! LYRICS: US Coins One penny is worth one cent; one nickel's worth five of them. One dime has a value of ten; one quarter's worth twenty-five cents. Five pennies make a nickel (in cents, it's worth five). Two nickels make ten cents (that means they're worth a dime). A quarter's twenty-five pennies, but let's make it shorter... two dimes and a nickel also equal a quarter. I bought one delicious dill pickle for two dimes, a quarter, and a nickel. To find out how much I spent, I counted them up cent by cent. I started with the quarter; it was worth twenty-five cents. Each dime was worth ten, so I added both of them; got thirty-five, forty-five, and then there was a nickel... I added five, and paid fifty cents for the pickle. (Chorus) I bought an ice cream in the summertime with four pennies, three quarters, and a dime. The ice cream lady looked in silence, and then she counted up my cents. She counted the three quarters - twenty-five, fifty, seventy-five - then she added the dime. The ten cents made eighty-five, and the four pennies left made it eighty-nine. So it was eighty-nine cents for the ice cream; I ate until my shirt popped at the seam! (Chorus) On the penny is the sixteenth president, Abraham Lincoln; he wrote The Gettysburg Address and The Emancipation Proclamation. The third president, Thomas Jefferson, is on the nickel (or five cents); he was the main author of the Declaration of Independence. The dime has Franklin Delano Roosevelt, president thirty-two; he instituted The New Deal and led America through World War II. Finally, on the quarter is the first president, George Washington; he was the Commander-in-Chief during the American Revolution. (Chorus) Five pennies make a nickel (in cents, it's worth five). Two nickels make ten cents (that means they're worth a dime). A quarter's twenty- five pennies, but let's make it shorter... two dimes and a nickel also equal a quarter. This video addresses the following Common Core Standards: 2.MD.C.8 - Solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using $ and ¢ symbols appropriately. Example: If you have 2 dimes and 3 pennies, how many cents do you have? http://www.NUMBEROCK.com is a provider of educational videos for kids which was founded by an innovative 5th Grade teacher who envisioned a new kind of classroom where students got energized for math class. Parents of his students even noticed their children singing mathematics songs around the dinner table well beyond school hours. Seeing his students so enthusiastic when it was time for math was welcome, to say the least! But the epiphanous moment was when students were singing math songs all-day long like they were in the American Top 40! We'll be releasing new songs and videos regularly until eventually addressing all the math skills and concepts that a Common Core Curriculum demands from 1st Grade to 2nd Grade, and even 5th Grade to 6th Grade. Our main goal is to make teaching and learning math more fun and more interactive. SchoolHouse Rock! has done this in other subjects for us in the previous generations.

What is BENEFIT-COST RATIO? What does BENEFIT-COST RATIO mean? BENEFIT-COST RATIO meaning

02:57
What is BENEFIT-COST RATIO? What does BENEFIT-COST RATIO mean? BENEFIT-COST RATIO meaning - BENEFIT-COST RATIO definition - BENEFIT-COST RATIO explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ A benefit-cost ratio (BCR) is an indicator, used in cost-benefit analysis, that attempts to summarize the overall value for money of a project or proposal. A BCR is the ratio of the benefits of a project or proposal, expressed in monetary terms, relative to its costs, also expressed in monetary terms. All benefits and costs should be expressed in discounted present values. A BCR can be a profitability index in for-profit contexts. Benefit cost ratio (BCR) takes into account the amount of monetary gain realized by performing a project versus the amount it costs to execute the project. The higher the BCR the better the investment. General rule of thumb is that if the benefit is higher than the cost the project is a good investment. The inverse is the cost-benefit ratio (CBR). In the absence of funding constraints, the best value for money projects are those with the highest net present value. Where there is a budget constraint, the ratio of NPV to the expenditure falling within the constraint should be used. In practice, the ratio of PV of future net benefits to expenditure is expressed as a BCR. (NPV-to-investment is net BCR.) BCRs have been used most extensively in the field of transport cost-benefit appraisals. The NPV should be evaluated over the service life of the project. Long-term BCRs, such as those involved in climate change, are very sensitive to the discount rate used in the calculation of net present value, and there is often no consensus on the appropriate rate to use. The handling of non-monetary impacts also present problems. They are usually incorporated by estimating them in monetary terms, using measures such as WTP (willingness to pay), though these are often difficult to assess. Alternative approaches include the UK's New Approach to Appraisal framework. A further complication with BCRs concerns the precise definitions of benefits and costs. These can vary depending on the funding agency. BCR = Discounted value of incremental benefits ÷ Discounted value of incremental costs Accept all projects with a BCR greater than 1, when costs and benefits are discounted at the opportunity cost of capital.

South Africa: Value For Money

05:14
Let's admit it, when it comes to choosing a travel destination, value for money is definitely one of the key decisive elements we all look at; it means we can stay longer, do more activities, eat more food, drink more drinks and maybe throw in a bit of luxury for good measure. Like so many other people, before I actually visited the country, I was under the impression that South Africa would be quite expensive. I have no idea why I thought that, but I did. And I was so wrong.. South Africa is cheap. And I don't mean you-will-spend-most-of-your-hard-earned-holiday-hugging-a-dirty-toilet-bowl kind of cheap, but great-value-and-phenomenally-inexpensive kind of cheap. For example, at a top quality restaurant on the waterfront in Cape Town we set ourselves a challenge -- how much could we get for the equivalent of 30 Australian dollars? Well.... How does eight entrée-sized dishes, a dessert platter, a strawberry daiquiri and a coffee sound? Pretty damn good? And we're talking top quality food here. Entries to tourist attractions, including tours were around $5, beers between $1 and $3, cocktails between $2 and $5... and these are tourist prices. Definitely one of the planet's best destinations if you are looking for value for money!

What is DEMAND FOR MONEY? What does DEMAND FOR MONEY mean? DEMAND FOR MONEY meaning - DEMAND FOR MONEY definition - DEMAND FOR MONEY explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. The demand for money is the desired holding of financial assets in the form of money: that is, cash or bank deposits. It can refer to the demand for money narrowly defined as M1 (non-interest-bearing holdings), or for money in the broader sense of M2 or M3. Money in the sense of M1 is dominated as a store of value by interest-bearing assets. However, money is necessary to carry out transactions; in other words, it provides liquidity. This creates a trade-off between the liquidity advantage of holding money and the interest advantage of holding other assets. The demand for money is a result of this trade-off regarding the form in which a person's wealth should be held. In macroeconomics motivations for holding one's wealth in the form of money can roughly be divided into the transaction motive and the asset motive. These can be further subdivided into more microeconomically founded motivations for holding money. Generally, the nominal demand for money increases with the level of nominal output (price level times real output) and decreases with the nominal interest rate. The real demand for money is defined as the nominal amount of money demanded divided by the price level. For a given money supply the locus of income-interest rate pairs at which money demand equals money supply is known as the LM curve. The magnitude of the volatility of money demand has crucial implications for the optimal way in which a central bank should carry out monetary policy and its choice of a nominal anchor. Conditions under which the LM curve is flat, so that increases in the money supply have no stimulatory effect (a liquidity trap), play an important role in Keynesian theory. This situation occurs when the demand for money is infinitely elastic with respect to the interest rate.

Rex is a whiskey mooch. His necklace is a manifestation of pure glory - forged from the irradiated bones of eagles and wolves. Also a tube sock. See the origin story here: http://goo.gl/JMc2Hr Daniel is a whiskey sommelier. His necklace is a token of his sommelier level, and he trains whiskey sommeliers at The Whisk(e)y Marketing School in Austin Texas. **A Whisk(e)y school? Yup. Here are a few things we believe. ** You don’t have to be a snob to appreciate and love great whiskey. Whisky and Whiskey (it depends on where it’s from) have been an important part of cultures around the world from time immemorial. Whiskey is a part of the very fabric of Western society, and in most places, is as common and accessible as beer. Like Jazz and wine, snobs have predictably hijacked whiskey appreciation, spoiling our natural, common connection with it and creating a false dichotomy of “good whiskey” and “bad whiskey.” It’s time to break through the emotional bias with facts and science. That’s what this school is about. ** The only valid definition of “good” whiskey is “whiskey you like to drink.” Learning how to share your love of whiskey in a way that connects people to the history and the story has more to do with public speaking and storytelling than it does with facts and tests. The best way to learn about whiskey and share that love is to drink whiskey and talk about it with friends. Study the history, find the stories, and discover the culture and the methods that have been developed over hundreds of years. That’s what you’ll do when you attend The Whisk(e)y Marketing School. ** You don’t need a marketing degree to learn how to share your love of whiskey with the world. There's an old saying, "In business, it's not what you know... It's who you know." Regardless the industry you're in, most people are clumsy and ineffective when it comes to "networking" because they ignore a very important rule - Relationship First, Business Second. There's a tremendous amount of curiosity about Whisk(e)y today. It's a great excuse for you to gather a group of people who want to have fun and learn something new. The Whisk(e)y School teaches you how to tap into that curiosity, and share your love of whisk(e)y in an unpretentious way. You're demonstrating knowledge, expertise, and an engaging personality - things valued by every gatekeeper, in every industry. Or would you rather hand out business cards and cross your fingers? What is BUSINESS PARTNERING? What does BUSINESS PARTNERING mean? BUSINESS PARTNERING meaning

What is BUSINESS PARTNERING? What does BUSINESS PARTNERING mean? BUSINESS PARTNERING meaning - BUSINESS PARTNERING definition - BUSINESS PARTNERING explanation. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ?sub_confirmation=1 Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. Business partnering is the development of successful, long term, strategic relationships between customers and suppliers, based on achieving best practice and sustainable competitive advantage. In the business partner model, HR professionals work closely with business leaders and line managers to achieve shared organisational objectives. The mission of business partnering and the key-aspects of the discipline have been developed recently in the tourism field. The mission of business partnering (for tourism) consists in "creating, organizing, developing and enforcing operative (short-term), tactical (medium-term) and strategic (long-term) partnerships" (Droli, 2007). "Partnering is the process of two or more entities creating synergistic solutions to their challenges." Joint selling is an example of operative partnering activity. Account intelligence sharing reselling or "value chain integration" (Child, Faulkner, 1998) are examples of tactical partnering initiatives. Joint product development is a typical strategic partnering activity. Partnering agreements are commonly used in the different kind of partnerships. One example is the strategic partnering arrangement in the aviation sector which was put together by the UK Ministry of Defence and AgustaWestland. Both partners share an agreed common objective to improve helicopter services and support to the front line. The MOD also wishes to provide the best value for money to the taxpayer while AgustaWestland seeks to provide the best returns to its shareholders via a stable, long-term income stream. Reduction of general costs: business partnering can be cheaper and more flexible than a merger or acquisition, and can be employed when a merger or acquisition is not feasible. Business partnering increases "competitive advantage" (Porter, 1985). The direct benefits of business partnering consist in greater competitive advantage through cooperation (the co-opetitive advantage) and even better opportunities of revenue, occupation and investment in the sector of application. Business partnering creates a no more traditionally-based solidarity or "organic", but a rationale form of "mechanic solidarity" (Durkheim, 1893). Partnering takes a new approach to achieving business objectives. It replaces the traditional customer-supplier model with a collaborative approach to achieving a shared objective; this may be to build a hospital, improve an existing service contract or launch an entirely new programme of work. Essentially, the Partners work together to achieve an agreed common aim whilst each participant may still retain different reasons for achieving that common aim. Firms usually need to form partnerships with other firms to enable their business model (Teece, 2010). To become attractive to other businesses firms need to align their internal features, such as management style and products with the market situation. In their 2013 study, Kask and Linton develop two ideal profiles, or also known as configurations or archetypes, for startups commercializing inventions. The Inheritor profile calls for management style that is not too entrepreneurial (more conservative) and the startup should have an incremental invention (building on a previous standard). This profile is set out to be more successful (in finding a business partner) in a market that has a dominant design (a clear standard is applied in this market). In contrast to this profile is the Originator which has a management style that is highly entrepreneurial and have a radical invention (totally new standard). This profile is set out to be more successful (in finding a business partner) in a market that does not have an dominant design (established standard). New startups should align themselves to one of the profiles when commercializing an invention to be able to find and be attractive to a business partner. By finding a business partner a startup will have greater chances to become successful (Kask & Linton, 2013).....

http://pharmacare2020.ca Pharmacare 2020 is a national symposium on prescription drug coverage in Canada. It is an evidence- and experience-informed conversation about equity, affordability, innovation and more. This conversation comes at a critical time. Canada is the only country in the world that excludes prescription drugs from its system of universal health care insurance. Drug spending is higher and growing faster in Canada than in other countries. And more and more Canadians are having difficulty affording the prescription drugs they need. It is time to create a clear vision for pharmacare in Canada.

What is REVIEW? What does REVIEW mean? REVIEW meaning - REVIEW definition - How to pronounce REVIEW?

What is REVIEW? What does REVIEW mean? REVIEW meaning - REVIEW pronunciation - REVIEW definition - REVIEW explanation - How to pronounce REVIEW? Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. A review is an evaluation of a publication, service, or company such as a movie (a movie review), video game (video game review), musical composition (music review of a composition or recording), book (book review); a piece of hardware like a car, home appliance, or computer; or an event or performance, such as a live music concert, play, musical theater show, dance show, or art exhibition. In addition to a critical evaluation, the review's author may assign the work a rating to indicate its relative merit. More loosely, an author may review current events, trends, or items in the news. A compilation of reviews may itself be called a review. The New York Review of Books, for instance, is a collection of essays on literature, culture, and current affairs. National Review, founded by William F. Buckley, Jr., is an influential conservative magazine, and Monthly Review is a long-running socialist periodical. A peer review is the process by which scholars or scientists assess the work of their colleagues that has been submitted for publication in the scientific or scholarly literature. In the scientific literature, review articles are a category of scientific or scholarly paper, which provides a synthesis of research on a topic at that moment in time. A compilation of these reviews forms the core content of review journals. Beyond review articles in review journals, a review may be found in an encyclopedia or a critical book review. In computer programming and the software development process, a software review may be used. A user review refers to a review written by a user or consumer for a product or a service based on her experience as a user of the reviewed product. Popular sources for consumer reviews are e-commerce sites like Amazon or Zappos, and social media sites like TripAdvisor and Yelp. E-commerce sites often have consumer reviews for products and sellers separately. Usually, consumer reviews are in the form of several lines of texts accompanied by a numerical rating. This text is meant to aid in shopping decision of a prospective buyer. A consumer review of a product usually comments on how well the product measures up to expectations based on the specifications provided by the manufacturer or seller. It talks about performance, reliability, quality defects, if any, and value for money. Consumer review, also called 'word of mouth' and 'user generated content' differs from 'marketer generated content' in its evaluation from consumer or user point of view. Often it includes comparative evaluations against competing products. Observations are factual as well as subjective in nature. Consumer review of sellers usually comment on service experienced, and dependability or trustworthiness of the seller. Usually, it comments on factors such as timeliness of delivery, packaging and correctness of delivered items, shipping charges, return services against promises made, and so on. Consumer reviews online have become a major factor in business reputation and brand image due to the popularity of TripAdvisor, Yelp and online review websites. A negative review can damage the reputation of a business and this has created a new industry of reputation management where companies attempt to remove or hide bad reviews so that more favourable content is found when potential customers do research. An expert review usually refers to a review written by someone who has tested several peer products or services to identify which offers the best value for money or the best set of features. A bought review is the system where the creator (usually a company) of a new product pays a reviewer to review his new product.
