Why India is bidding for ALL 24 Oil & Gas blocks in Israel?

In this video, we will discuss possible oil and gas exploration collaboration in between India and Israel. Reference - http://www.dglaw.co.il/oil-and-gas-exploration-in-israel/ https://www.reuters.com/article/us-india-israel-oil-exclusive/exclusive-india-to-bid-for-israel-oil-and-gas-exploration-blocks-minister-idUSKCN1BF19D http://www.miningweekly.com/article/indian-oil-firms-shifts-focus-to-israel-from-iran-amid-changing-geopolitics-2017-11-20 https://legalinsurrection.com/2017/11/india-bids-for-israels-offshore-oil-and-gas-blocks/ https://www.telegraphindia.com/business/israel-oil-bids-186879 Transcript - Hello Friends, I welcome you with a new video on my channel Real Quick Info. We hope, you will like this video. Please Let us share Real Quick Analysis with you in future as well, so please subscribe our channel Real Quick Info. Please don't forget to click on Bell icon as well to get notification, as soon as we upload interesting new video. Now Lets discuss about today's topic. India is third largest oil consumer in the world. Our oil demand is naturally bound to increase rapidly in future. You know, Majority of our crude oil is imported from Gulf Countries. Needless to say, Indian foreign policy and our diplomatic choices were always impacted by this over dependence on Arab Gulf countries. No wonder, How Modi became first Indian Prime Minister visiting Israel. The need to diversify the source of crude oil has always been felt, and you remember, India recently imported crude oil from America. Indian oil companies discovered the Farzad B gas field in Iran in 2008. The deal got stuck in to negotiations, and there is almost no hope that India would get the developmental rights for this gas field in Iran. Anyways, now its time to move on. If we ask you, which are the countries, that have vast oil and gas reserves. You wont even mention a very friendly country namely Israel. Friends, In last 10 years, Israel has seen some of the world's largest gas and oil discoveries. the problem was these oil and gas reserves were inaccessible and too expensive to extract. But rapid advancement in technology has changed the game. And last year, Israel has put its 24 exploration blocks up for the auction. No need to worry friends, None of these block is in disputed water of Mediterranean Sea. In this background, Indian petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan himself visited Israel in the month of September to lead from the front Indian efforts in this area. After doing all the necessary research ground work, You would be surprised to know, Consortium of Indian firms including ONGC Videsh, Bharat Petro Resources, Indian Oil corporation and Oil India have submitted bid for all the 24 blocks on 15 November. Besides Indian Consortium, one European firm has also submitted bids. Yes, this round attracted only two Bids. Perhaps fear of backlash from Gulf Countries might have played role in this. Anyways, Given our massive energy needs, we cannot afford to be afraid of possible adverse reaction from major oil producing countries. Given that, Israel was looking for two or three foreign exploration groups. The chances are good that Indian consortium will get at least few blocks. We would like to assume that Indian proposal should be very good. and it would win the competitive bidding. In January, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to visit India, we hope to get really good news in this visit. Israel has been over major defense supplier. the time has come to elevate the level of friendship in the area of Energy supplies also. Upon successful oil and gas exploration and development of these blocks, Israel will be able to fulfill its domestic energy needs and could also become net exporter. That's why our Gujarati Prime Minister visited Israel at the risk of annoying all Arab nations. Some of you might have said, he is just enjoying the foreign visits. Now you know, There is hard core real business going on behind those visits. It was good that Indian oil minister himself took interest in this bid. Hopefully, we have learnt few important lessons from the failures of Farzad B gas field project, and we have already applied them in our proposal this time. In case, we win this bid, In the agreement itself, we need to ensure that past of Farzad B gas field is not repeated in Mediterranean Sea. Experience suggests, Israel is dependable friend and we should not face the problems, that we have faced with Iran. As we all know, The freedom to Choose from number of available options prevents the exploitation. Indian side did their job, lets wait till the results of this round of bidding is out. As per your views, Just like other countries, India should have stayed away from this competitive bidding to appease Arab nations, after all they have always been our major oil suppliers? Please let us know your views in comment section below.

Top 10 Highest Oil Producing Countries in the World 2017

04:06
Top 10 Oil Producing Countries in the World 2017 This is a list of countries by oil production, as compiled from the U.S. Energy Information Administration database for calendar year 2016, tabulating all countries on a comparable best-estimate basis. Compared with shorter-term data, the full-year figures are less prone to distortion from periodic maintenance shutdowns and other seasonal cycles. The volumes in the table represent crude oil and lease condensate, the hydrocarbon liquids collected at or near the wellhead. The volumes in the table do not include biofuel. They also do not include the increase in liquid volumes during oil refining ("refinery gain"), or liquids separated from natural gas in gas processing plants (natural gas liquids).[1] Under this definition, total world oil production in 2016 averaged 80,622,000 barrels per day. Approximately 68% came from the top ten countries, and an overlapping 44% came from the fourteen current OPEC members, highlighted with blue shading in the table below. For many years, the top three producers have been (alphabetically) Russia, Saudi Arabia, and the United States. Each of these countries experienced major production declines at different times in the past, but since 2014 all three have been producing near their peak rates of 9 to 11 million barrels per day. 1 Russia 10,551,497 2 Saudi Arabia (OPEC) 10,460,710 3 United States 8,875,817 4 Iraq (OPEC) 4,451,516 5 Iran (OPEC) 3,990,956 6 China 3,980,650 7 Canada 3,662,694 8 United Arab Emirates (OPEC) 3,106,077 9 Kuwait (OPEC) 2,923,825 10 Brazil 2,515,459 I hope you will like video, if you do hit that Like button and dont forget to Comment and Subscribe. The Largest Oil Rig in The World

19:43
Perdido is the deepest floating oil rig (platform) in the world at a water depth of about 2450 meters operated by the Shell Oil Company in the Gulf of Mexico. The Perdido is located in the Perdido fold belt which is a rich discovery of crude oil and natural gas that lies in water that is nearly 8000 feet deep. The platform's peak production will be 100,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. At 267 meters, the Perdido is nearly as tall as the Eiffel Tower. An oil rig is a large structure with facilities to drill wells, to extract and process oil and natural gas, and to temporarily store product until it can be brought to shore for refining and marketing. In many cases, the platform contains facilities to house the workforce as well. Why Natural Gas Could Be the Fuel That Changes the World

02:41
July 29 -- The first liquefied natural gas tanker ship passed through the expanded Panama Canal on July 25, hauling gas from the U.S. Gulf Coast. The shortcut means less time and money spent getting American gas across the Pacific. Natural gas already has a lot going for it -- it's cheap, burns cleaner than other fossil fuels and it's plentiful. The new route just adds to why LNG may be the fuel of the future. Like this video? What does the USA Shale OIl Revolution mean for Oil Prices? Gaurav Sharma, an Oil Market Analyst comments. PLEASE: Support us. Like this video if you found it useful. People dismissed shale oil in 2005 / 2006 but it has been huge. At the time the USA was still building lots of terminals to import oil and gas from overseas. Now look at how the world has been transformed - some of these terminals are now being used to export USA oil and gas.

Fundamentals of Upstream Oil and Gas

09:23
Oil 101 - A FREE Introduction to the Oil and Gas Industry I this first of 10 modules, we introduce the learner to some key fundamentals of the Upstream segment of the oil and gas industry. The full Oil 101 course includes: +Introduction to Upstream +Introduction to Midstream +Introduction to Downstream +Introduction to Exploration +Introduction to Drilling +Introduction to Production +Introduction to Natural Gas +Introduction to Refining +Introduction to Supply and Trading +Introduction to Petroleum Product Marketing Learn More about Oil 101: http://www.ektinteractive.com/ http://www.ektinteractive.com/oil-101/ So, What is Upstream? Most oil and gas companies’ business structures are organized according to business segment, assets, or function. The upstream segment of oil and gas is also known as exploration and production, or E&P because it encompasses activities related to searching for, recovering, and producing crude oil and natural gas. Upstream is all about wells, where to locate them; how deep and how far to drill them; and how to design, construct, operate and manage them to deliver the greatest possible return on investment with the lightest, safest and smallest operational footprint. In fact, the E&P sector should probably be called the EDP sector - because “you can’t find oil if you don’t drill wells.” Exploration Obtaining the Lease Let’s start with exploration which involves the operator obtaining a lease and permission to drill from the owner of onshore or offshore acreage thought to contain oil or gas. Then the operator must conduct geological and geophysical surveys to select the first well site to explore for, and hopefully find, economic accumulations of oil or gas. This well is often called a “wildcat well.” Drilling is physically creating the “borehole” in the ground that will eventually become a productive oil or gas well. This work is typically done by rig contractors and service companies in the Oilfield Services business sector. On a wellsite, there can be as many as 30-40 different service contractors providing expertise to the operator. Wells can be relatively simple or unbelievably complex. Wells can totally vertical for miles or both deep and horizontal. There are also highly complex “J” and “S” configured wells with numerous branches, or laterals, emanating from the original, or “mother”, hole. These are called “deviated wells.” Production Finally, let’s discuss production, where reserves are “converted to cash” by maximizing the recovery of hydrocarbons from subsurface reservoirs. Essentially, production is efficiently bringing the hydrocarbons to the surface and treating them as needed to make them marketable. So that’s the basics of E&P. We will drill deeper into each of these operations in the complete Oil 101 course at a later date. Now, let’s talk about unconventional resources, clearly the hottest topic in oil and gas over the last decade. Unconventional Future of Oil and Gas Unconventional resources are defined as any resource extracted, or produced, by any method other than the traditional vertical or slightly deviated well. The three main sources of technological breakthroughs that have made unconventional developments profitable include: Horizontal drilling Hydraulic fracturing Subsea engineering (especially deep water production)

How the Syrian Crisis is REALLY about Oil and Europe | REAL MATTERS

04:50
► Subscribe on YouTube : http://bit.ly/2uQHX6B ► Instagram : http://bit.ly/2uQIq8R Lets look at the oil and natural gas pipelines that run through the Middle East and Syria and why this conflict is really about Europe's addiction to oil in 2017. Remember to Like & Sub! Check out my new report. Why Erdogan is Nervous about The Kurds in Turkey : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wun4CR-DvwY&t=5s ________________ Syria itself is not a major energy producer in the region, however its importance lies as a potential transit hub from energy suppliers like Saudi Arabia, Iran and Iraq towards the thirsty energy markets of Europe. Notably proposed pipelines of major energy projects would pass through Syria , into Turkey and then enter the European grid. With the onset of the Civil war in Syria, the proposed pipeline projects have all been put on hold and their future is unclear. The most important aspect of this, is Europes need for energy diversity. Europe and Russia The EU’s energy thirst is estimated to be the second largest in the world after the United States. Notably, some 70- 80% of its energy requirements are satisfied by Russian gas and oil, piped in mostly through Ukraine. Disputes between Ukraine and Russia over energy first publicly surfaced in 2002 and culminated in 2009 when Russia cut supplies to Ukraine for short period of time, setting off panic in European capitals. This made the issue of Europes energy reliance on Russia more pressing. The subsequent Civil war in Ukraine is also deeply linked to this relationship. But this will be examined in a later video so please Subscribe with the button below if you want to hear more about that. European leaders came to the understanding that Europe needed a more diverse energy environment. Backed by the United States they sought to bring energy supplies, mainly from the energy rich Middle East into Europe. Syria’s position as a important transit route elevated the need for an agreement with the Syrian government that would bring supplies from the energy rich Gulf and Saudi Arabia into Europe, bypassing Russia . The Syrian Pipelines A Pipeline was proposed by Saudi Arabia and Qatar ,backed by the United States , which would use Syria as a transit route. The Pipelines would Saudi- Qatar pipeline would pass through Jodan - Syria and Turkey before entering Europe. The Syrian Government rejected the proposal. Syria's rationale for the rejection the Saudi-Qatari pipeline proposal was said to be "to protect the interests of [its] Russian ally, which is Europe's top supplier of natural gas." A competing Pipelines was also proposed dubbed The Iran-Iraq-Syria pipeline . A natural gas pipeline running from Iran towards Europe via Iraq, Syria and Lebanon to supply European customers as well as Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. The pipelines ran into numerous problems mostly from US pressure and its Swiss backers have since stopped its financing. The earliest proposed Pipeline intended to bypass Russia was the Nabucco Pipeline. Which aims to bring Caucasus and Iraqi oil through Turkey, the balkans and ending in Austria. This project is also supported by a number of EU member states and the United States. The project was later scrapped in favour of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline , which has now been almost completed and will start by bringing BP’s Azerbaijani Energy through Turkey - Greece- Albanian into Italy. The project is aimed to start supplying oil and gas by 2018 and the pipeline itself is in the final stages of competition. Once ready, this will be the first major means of energy diversification in Europe.

ONGC : Oil and Natural Gas Commission of India

07:55
Since its inception, ONGC has been instrumental in transforming the country's limited upstream sector into a large viable playing field, with its activities spread throughout India and significantly in overseas territories. In the inland areas, ONGC not only found new resources in Assam but also established new oil province in Cambay basin (Gujarat), while adding new petroliferous areas in the Assam-Arakan Fold Belt and East coast basins (both inland and offshore). ONGC went offshore in early 70's and discovered a giant oil field in the form of Bombay High, now known as Mumbai High. This discovery, along with subsequent discoveries of huge oil and gas fields in Western offshore changed the oil scenario of the country. Subsequently, over 5 billion tonnes of hydrocarbons, which were present in the country, were discovered. The most important contribution of ONGC, however, is its self-reliance and development of core competence in E&P activities at a globally competitive level. Today, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC) is, the leader in Exploration & Production (E&P) activities in India contributing 72 per cent to India’s total production of crude oil and 48 per cent of natural gas. ONGC’s quest for energy goes deeper than setting new benchmarks in deep-water drilling in the Krishna Godavari Basin or finding new frontiers of energy. Global decline in crude prices notwithstanding, we have taken significant investment decisions diligently and aggressively, reversing the production trend in offshore. And now we are venturing into deeper offshore plays in our quest for energy security. It is this journey that has placed us among Fortune “World’s Most Admired Companies” and ranked us 3rd in the E&P industry globally on the Platts Top 250 Rankings 2014. How natural gas could be a geopolitical game-changer in the Mideast

36:26
Subscribe to France 24 now: http://f24.my/youtubeEN FRANCE 24 live news stream: all the latest news 24/7 http://f24.my/YTliveEN It's a discovery that could easily shake up the geopolitical order in the Middle East. Deep under the eastern Mediterranean lies the largest natural gas basin ever found on Europe's doorstep. But the gas fields often coincide with disputed borders between rival nations. Our reporter Marine Pradel investigated this lucrative resource, which everyone wants a piece of. The billions of cubic metres of natural gas discovered in recent years off Israel, Egypt and Cyprus form what is now called the "Levantine Basin", the largest natural gas reservoir within easy reach of Europe. The first major deposit, known as Tamar, was discovered in 2009 off the coast of Haifa, Israel, by a consortium made up of Noble Energy (US) and Delek-Avner (Israel). Other gas fields were later discovered in the same zone of the "Levantine Basin": Leviathan (Israel), Aphrodite (Cyprus), but most importantly Zohr, in 2015 off the coast of Egypt: the largest gas field ever discovered in the Mediterranean, larger than all the others combined. It was found by the Italian oil giant ENI, which has already started to exploit it and is aiming to start production by the end of 2017. Meanwhile, Israel, supported by its US ally, is drilling away, driven by a free-market and idealistic vision: exploiting the gas will oblige the countries of the region to co-operate as business partners, which will in turn create peace and stability. But the gas under the Mediterranean Sea may also carry within it the seeds of new conflicts. On the divided island of Cyprus, it threatens reunification efforts. In Lebanon, its location - straddling the disputed maritime boundary with Israel - boosts the belligerent rhetoric of the armed Hezbollah group. It is hoped the gas could be worth billions of dollars, and all eyes are on the highly coveted European gas market, which Russia would like to keep for itself. Speaking to FRANCE 24 in Washington, the US Special Envoy and Coordinator for International Energy Affairs summarised the situation. “All of a sudden, it’s not just a bunch of fishermen that care about those waters. Suddenly, there’s billions and billions of dollars”, he explained. The stakes are certainly high. In total, nearly 3,500 billion cubic metres of natural gas could lie under the eastern Mediterranean, according to a study by the US Geological Survey. From Egypt to Syria via Lebanon, Israel and Cyprus, our reporter investigated this precious resource, a double-edged sword that awakens old Cold War reflexes and could well upset the geopolitical order of an already unstable region. OMV's oil and gas production in Norway

01:34
More info: http://www.omv.no We invest for a long-lasting future. OMV is an integrated oil and gas company with global activities. Norway is one of OMV’s core regions and central to our company’s strategy. Our production in Norway comes now from Gullfaks, Gudrun and Edvard Grieg; Aasta Hansteen will join in 2018. We have a substantial and stable production for many years into the future. Today we have a portfolio of 36 licenses in Norway, and we operate six of them. We take pride in our assets. Our Wisting discovery is the northernmost in Norway. It is an interesting challenge to develop Wisting; very shallow depth with unusual low reservoir temperatures and pressures makes this special. The appraisal well Wisting Central II, which was drilled in Q1/2016, set a record for shallow horizontal wells from a floating drilling unit. The well started vertically and was directed horizontally within a vertical range of only 250 meters. Wistin Central II also allows us to increase the resources in Wisting. --- Note: As of June 13, 2017 Petrol Ofisi A.S. is no longer part of OMV Group. ------------------------------------------------------------ Subscribe to the OMV YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/OMV Follow our Blog: http://blog.omv.com Follow us on LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/company/omv Follow us on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/omv Follow us on XING: http://www.xing.com/company/omv Follow us on Facebook: http://www.omv.com/facebook

Jerome Corsi: The Chinese Takeover of U.S. Energy Resources

59:36
The Obama administration is quietly allowing China to acquire major ownership interests in oil and natural gas resources across the U.S. The decision to allow China to compete for U.S. oil and natural gas resources appears to stem from a need to keep Beijing economically interested in lending to the U.S. The Obama administration has run $1-trillion-plus annual federal budget deficits since taking office that likely will continue in the second term. Allowing China to have equity interests in U.S. energy production is a reversal of the Bush administration's policy. In 2005, the Bush administration blocked China on grounds of national security from an $18.4 billion deal to purchase California-based Unocal Corp. As WND reported Monday, Beijing has been developing a proposal in which real estate on American soil owned by China would be set up as "development zones" to establish Chinese-owned businesses and bring in its citizens to the U.S. to work. China leased first oil rights in Texas China's first major move into the U.S. oil and natural gas market can be traced to October 2009, when the state-owned Chinese energy giant CNOOC bought a multi-million dollar stake in 600,000 acres of South Texas oil and gas fields. Reporting the story, Monica Hatcher of the Houston Chronicle suggested China was "testing the political waters for further energy expansion into U.S. energy reserves." China's purchase of U.S. oil and natural gas rights will strike millions of Americans as paradoxical, since the U.S. continues to be a net importer of approximately 60 percent of the oil consumed in the U.S. The Chronicle reported China paid $2.2 billion for a one-third stake in Chesapeake Energy assets, with CNOCC laying a claim to a share of energy resources in South Texas that could produce up to half a million barrels of oil per day. The Houston paper reported that as part of the deal, CNOCC agreed to pay approximately $1.1 billion for a share of Chesapeake's assets in the Eagle Ford, a broad oil and gas formation that runs southwest of San Antonio to the Mexican border. The Chronicle also reported that the deal with China could create as many as 20,000 jobs in the U.S. and provide the capital Chesapeake needs to increase its rig count in South Texas from 10 to 42 by the end of 2012. The new cold war: The race for Arctic oil and gas - Counting the Cost

25:01
The Arctic, which is believed to contain as much as one-quarter of the world's undiscovered oil is part of a massive territorial dispute. The United States, Russia, Canada, Denmark, Norway and Iceland are all laying claim to the area, with each country eager to tap into the oil, 30 percent of the earth's natural gas and resources such as diamonds, gold and iron. In August, Russia submitted a bid to the UN claiming a territory thought to hold $30 trillion worth of oil and gas. Meanwhile, Canada has been scrambling to defend its territory against the US arguing that it is sovereign Canadian water, not an international waterway. Amid the Arctic land grab, Iceland has also seized the opportunity for exploration. Vanishing at 13 percent a decade, the melting ice is expected to make drilling, mining and shipping easier. Gunnar Bragi Sveinsson, Iceland's Foreign Minister joins Counting the Cost to discuss Iceland's plans for the Arctic and protecting the region from climate change. ISIL's toll on Turkey's economy Turkey's economy is on a worrisome course with it's local stock market and currency continuing to decline. Hit by political uncertainty, unable to form a coalition government and becoming ever more involved in the chaos in neighbouring Syria, Turkey's economy has been dealt a series of blows. Just a few years ago, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his AK party were almost unstoppable, both politically and economically. Erhan Aslanoglu, a Professor at Marmara University joins the programme to discuss Ankara's economic downturn. In the US, the New Look of Gas Exploration

04:04
This is the VOA Special English Economics Report, from http://voaspecialenglish.com Many people think the search for cleaner energy leads only to renewable resources like sun, wind and water. But it also leads to a fossil fuel. Natural gas is considered the cleanest of the fossil fuels -- the fuels created by plant and animal remains over millions of years. Burning it releases fewer pollutants than oil or coal. The gas is mainly methane. It produces half the carbon dioxide of other fossil fuels. So it may help cut the production of carbon gases linked to climate change. Russia is first in what are called "proved reserves" of natural gas. The United States is sixth. Over the years, big oil and gas companies recovered much of the easily reached supplies of gas in America. They drilled straight down into formations where gas collects. As these supplies were used up, big drillers looked for similar formations in other countries. But now the industry is taking a new look. Companies are developing gas supplies trapped in shale rock two to three thousand meters underground. They drill down to the shale, then go sideways and inject high-pressure water, sand or other material into the rock. This causes the rock to break, or fracture, releasing the gas. Huge fields of gas shale are believed to lie under the Appalachian Mountains, Michigan and the south-central states. Gas shale exploration is being done mainly by small to medium sized companies. Eric Potter is a program director in the Bureau of Economic Geology at the University of Texas at Austin. He said the kinds of opportunities that are left for natural gas exploration in the United States have changed. So it is not as easy to develop. He says more than half the gas in the United States is now coming from these new reserves. But hydraulic fracturing can also produce debate and anger over the risk of groundwater pollution. This method of drilling is not federally supervised under the Safe Drinking Water Act. Some in Congress want to end that exemption from the law. Natural gas provides Americans with about one-fourth of their energy. And, unlike oil, most of it is produced in America.
