Master of Public Administration

04:34
The Master of Public Administration (M.P.Adm., M.P.A. or MPA) is a professional post-graduate degree in Public Administration which is the public sector's offering equivalent to the private sector's Master of Business Administration. The MPA program is a professional degree for the public sector and it prepares individuals to serve as managers in the executive arm of local, state/provincial, and federal/national government, and increasingly in nongovernmental organization (NGO) and nonprofit sectors; it places a focus on the systematic investigation of executive organization and management. Instruction includes the roles, development, and principles of public administration; public policy management and implementation. Through its history, the MPA degree has become more interdisciplinary by drawing from fields such as economics, sociology, law, anthropology, political science, and regional planning in order to equip MPA graduates with skills and knowledge covering a broad range of topics and disciplines relevant to the public sector. A core curriculum of a typical MPA program usually includes courses on microeconomics, public finance, research methods / statistics, policy process and policy analysis, public financial management, managerial accounting, ethics, public management, leadership, planning & Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and program evaluation/performance measurement. Depending on their interest, MPA students can focus their studies on a variety of public sector fields such as urban planning, emergency management, transportation, health care (especially public health), economic development, urban management, community development, education, non-profits, information technology, environmental policy, cultural policy, criminal justice, etc. This video is targeted to blind users. Study Technology Governance in Tallinn University of Technology (Master's programme)

02:03
The Master’s programme in Technology Governance leads to a technology-focused graduate degree in the fields of Public Administration, Innovation/Industrial Policy, Development Economics, and E-Governance. The overall purpose of the program is to educate (policy) analysts with interdisciplinary skills to govern, analyse and develop a knowledge-based state and society. Innovation policy and its use in different economic situations has become a very important topic in the world, as the need for people who are knowledgeable in dealing with economic cycles in a new way is increasing. The program should be attractive for those international students who want to get an understanding of the dynamics of capitalist economies and economic development processes from a rather non-orthodox perspective, i.e. from evolutionary, post-Keynesian and other heterodox economics perspectives. In Technical Universities, you are given a deeper knowledge of your subject theoretically but in Universities of applied sciences, you are taught more practically, so that you are already ready for the industry, where you are going to work after your masters. Important points to keep in mind while selecting a University: 1. Money or Tuition Fees 2. Language 3. Eligibility Criteria My final advice would also be that apply to as many Universities as you can, if your grades are not that great. A grade point of 8-9 is considered very good and you will have no problems in applying to the University, but we all know the struggle of getting that kind of grades in India. It’s no joke! If you like this video, please don’t forget to share it with your friends or on your Facebook timeline and please subscribe and press the like button. In the next video, we will talk about, how you can still get an admission at a University, even after you got a rejection letter. If you have any comments or suggestions, please leave them in the comment section! I am always happy to hear constructive comments from you guys! If there is a theme I should cover in my next video, please share that too! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------For selecting universities: 1. www.daad.de 2. www.mastersportal.eu 3. www.ingenieurwesen-studieren.de 4. https://www.studis-online.de/Studieren/ My website: http://www.bharatingermany.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow me on FACEBOOK Profile: https://facebook.com/bharatingermany Page: https://www.facebook.com/Bharat-in-Germany-1203402319786921/ (Don't forget to leave a rating on the FB page!) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTAGRAM: https://instagram.com/bharat.in.germany ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Consider supporting me on Patreon: https://patreon.com/bharatingermany

TOP 10 CANADIAN UNIVERSITIES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS FOR 2018

University of Manitoba - Winnipeg, Manitoba The largest and oldest university in Manitoba offers over 90 courses to international students, including preparatory programs and distance learning. The central prairie location provides many explorative opportunities. Its low point is the distance from everywhere else in Canada. However, studying in Manitoba may be your only chance in life to see rare species, such as polar bears and beluga whales. 9. York University - Toronto, Ontario If the costs associated with the tuitions fees and the central location of the University of Toronto are over your budget limit, consider applying to York University, in northern Toronto. It is just behind UoT in size and its diverse courses can accommodate almost any chosen subject. If you want to attend York, you must calculate for the time and the costs associated with getting from northwest Toronto to wherever you choose to live (such as downtown Toronto). However, York has a fine residential capacity for its students and the size of the campus can compensate for the lack of urban attractions. York University has an enticing study program, including novel cross-disciplinary degrees, such as integrated science, disaster management and globalization of indigenous peoples. 8. University of Waterloo - Waterloo, Ontario If you are thinking about enlisting in an innovative post-secondary program, the University of Waterloo, located 90 minutes from Toronto, is just what you need. Student entrepreneurs can engage with after-school activities in Velocity Garage, a free start-up incubator and grow as businessmen along taking exams. Advanced tech and interdisciplinary courses, such as knowledge integration, nanotechnology engineering and remote piloting lay a fertile ground for developing a business idea that you can launch after you graduate. 7. Simon Fraser University - Burnaby, British Columbia Simon Fraser University provides stunning mountain views to take your eyes off the books when you complete your course lessons. Simon Fraser University is a new favorite for internationals, topping the ranks this year by the student reputation. The great thing about the three campuses located in Burnaby, Surrey, and Vancouver is that they have established a social scene for students with strong bonds to the local community. The wide scope of academic classes ranging from advanced environmental programs to business design and mechatronics makes it inclusive to all type of scholars. If you enjoy cool courses with an exuberant social life, Simon Fraser might be your choice. Simon Fraser is about 30 minutes by car, or an hour by bus, from downtown Vancouver. 6. University of Alberta - Edmonton, Alberta Some say that the cold weather is the lowest point of your Canadian studies, and though Edmonton is pretty far north, many don’t consider it as scary weather-wise as some cities. The rates for grad students are a factor that may make you forget about the living costs. The excellent research reputation can compensate for the harsh winters. The city-sleek ambience, the wide-range of student support services, and a world famous shopping mall are welcoming students from almost 150 countries who come to study at the University of Alberta. 5. University of Calgary - Calgary, Alberta Apart from over a hundred study programs, if you want to build not only your academic skills, but also your athletic prowess, the University of Calgary is a top pick as it is located in one of the world’s best and cleanest cities to live. With an average of 333 sunny days per year, it is a contrast to the stark Canadian weather everywhere else. Calgary has all essential aspects of Canadian hospitality - diversity and a multicultural openness. The amazing ski slopes 2 hours away are just a bonus. 4. University of New Brunswick - Fredericton and Saint John, New Brunswick Canadian medical and law schools top among the favorites for international students. The New Brunswick University will definitely suffice for the pickiest future medical doctors and lawyers while the 75 other courses available at Fredericton and Saint John campuses make the University of New Brunswick one of the best options if you are on a budget, particularly if you find a bargain in accommodation. The study curricula comprises attractive programs related to human and satellite intelligence, as well as courses in global web activism.

Tatiana Puscano is an international graduate student in the Masters of Public Administration program at Ohio University's Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs. Originally from Moldova, Tatiana aspires to work in Washington, D.C. after graduation. Tatiana says that some of the qualities that Voinovich School students share include "hard work, passion, [and] this willingness to help the community and this willingness to address the issues they came to learn about here." Off-Campus: In a cohort model, a group of 35 students move through the program as a unit, starting and finishing at the same time. The schedule is fixed and classes are guaranteed for each cohort student. Online: The CSUN MPA program is also offered fully online in the cohort (group) format.

CPA Qualification vs MBA Degree: Which is Better?

05:11
Click here for text version: http://ipassthecpaexam.com/cpa-vs-mba/ In this video, I’d like to take a closer look at the popular discussion of pursuing the CPA vs MBA. Why MBA Could be Better... In terms of gaining knowledge, a typical 2-year curriculum offered by MBA programs should be more thorough than a 6-12 month self-study required by the CPA exam. An MBA is program is generally broader covering not only accounting, but also finance, marketing, business and even niches such as venture capital and social enterprises. On the other hand Why CPA Could be Better... Some recruiters do suggest getting a CPA instead because it is faster and less expensive to get the credentials. You can take the exam before getting your accounting degree and get your license after 1-2 years of experience. For more discussion and debate on CPA vs MBA, please watch the video. Questions and comments are most welcome! Please subscribe to my youtube channel for more information on the CMA exam.
