http://602communications.com/ Dig deep inside Nike branding campaigns and you'll discover a very simple archetype story. By repeating this one story over and over, Nike marketing strategy delivers a powerful shot of customer self-esteem. In this speech from the IMark marketing conference in Iceland, emotional marketing speaker Graeme Newell reveals the five-step formula that keeps Nike branding at the top of the list of the world's most powerful marketers. I love Nike. I love Nike advertising, Nike ads, Nike commercials, Nike marketing strategy, Nike branding, and Nike brand strategy. I love all of it, and I love it a lot. What's more, I'm not alone. Nike ads have built the Nike brand into a juggernaut that appeals to almost every single man, woman, and child on this planet. Nike Advertising Power Why does Nike branding work so well? Nike advertising is full of excitement and everything that makes a good sporting-goods ad, but Nike ads are nearly unique in how good they are. So what is the deal with Nike marketing strategy that makes them so great? It's the message that is contained in Nike commercials and every piece of Nike branding that goes out. Nike advertising revolves around a single, universal emotion that is felt the same by nearly everyone on the planet. The idea of struggle and determination is what gives Nike commercials their fire. And every piece of Nike branding revolves around this thing How Nike Ads Capitalize on Archetypes If it told you that Nike marketing strategy is thousands of years old, you probably wouldn't believe me. However, Nike branding, like their name (originating from the Greek Goddess of Victory Nike) is as old as the Greek Civilization. Great works like the Iliad and the Odyssey revolve around the archetype of the hero. The hero is someone who faces a great foe, one who is seemingly insurmountable, and through dedication and perseverance, prevails. Nike brand strategy truly does hail from the time of the ancient Greeks, and there's a reason it still works. This is because the feelings that Nike commercials evoke are feelings that all humans have. The heroes in Nike advertising are universal heroes, regardless of age, race, gender, or anything else. The Real Message of Nike Commercials Nike commercials show all sorts of ripped, young men and women pushing themselves to the limits against a foe, but what are Nike ads really portraying? They're portraying you and me. Nike brand strategy knows that everyone sees the hero in themselves. Nike branding understands that even though we aren't slaying dragons or rescuing princesses, just getting out of bed in the morning to go to the gym, to work, to school, or anything else, is as trial in and of itself, and Nike commercials are all over that. How Nike Brand Strategy Comes Out in Nike Commercials Nike branding relies on a five-step formula to really drive the Nike marketing strategy home in Nike commercials. Nike ads, with very few exceptions, follow this five step formula in one way or another. The five step formula in Nike advertising is how they show the various stages that the hero must go through in order to fulfil his quest. Nike branding simply channels the story of the hero, one that has been told for millennia, into Nike ads and watches the brand explode. The 5-Steps Nike Branding Uses in Nike Ads Nearly every piece of Nike advertising follows the 5-step formula of Nike branding. First, Nike ads show first to the challenge, in the zone, doubt and suffering, rededication, and finally, victory. Nike branding uses these five steps to universally appeal to men, women, and children all over the world, and to great effect. What Each Step in Nike Marketing Strategy Means Key to Nike ads are the five steps. Nike commercials tend to begin with someone being the first to the challenge, first to the plate, the first up. This is how Nike brand strategy demonstrates first to the challenge. Nike branding then shows the person in the zone, working hard at whatever it is they're doing, and then comes the doubt and suffering. It's at this point in Nike ads that we are unsure if the main character is going to make it through, but then Nike marketing strategy kicks back in with rededication. The character rededicates herself to the goal, and attains victory. So to recap: -Nike advertising is a powerhouse because it taps the deepest emotions we feel as a species -One of these emotions is that of the hero, an archetype that human beings all over the world can all feel -Nike commercials do this by using a 5-step formula that shows the hero overcoming great struggles. http://602communications.com/

We hear a lot about innovation and the need to have more technology and better design. Too often, however, the calls for innovation are focused solely on product offerings, whether they’re goods, services, information, entertainment, etc. But this focus on product improvement is misdirected. For long-term success, you should, instead, be focusing on customer improvement. Innovation strategist Michael Schrage advocates for a shift in how marketers approach their catalysts for innovation. He points out that investing our efforts into helping our customers to progress is valuable for long-term customer relationships that drive profitable innovation. We need to ask the right questions to understand where to innovate. A key question, as Schrage puts it, would be, “Who do our customers want to become?” As we begin to understand the customer vision, we’ll innovate in a manner that helps them achieve that vision. Then, customers become more valuable to us because we have become more valuable to them! Our job -- as marketers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and fellow humans -- is to help our customers to reach their various potentials in whatever directions they want to go. **Be sure to subscribe to my channel so you don't miss any future episodes of Monday's Marketing Minute, where you’ll learn about: - Marketing Strategy and Tactics - Brand Development - Personal Branding and Professional Branding - Marketing Yourself - Marketing Leadership - and whatever relevant and related topics come our way. **Also, connect with me on any of the following: LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/anthonymiyazaki Twitter: https://twitter.com/sensiblefolk Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sensiblefolk/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/AnthonyMiyazaki

What is REBRANDING? What does REBRANDING mean? REBRANDING meaning - REBRANDING pronunciation - REBRANDING definition - REBRANDING explanation - How to pronounce REBRANDING? Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. Rebranding is a marketing strategy in which a new name, term, symbol, design, or combination thereof is created for an established brand with the intention of developing a new, differentiated identity in the minds of consumers, investors, competitors, and other stakeholders. Often, this involves radical changes to a brand's logo, name, legal names, image, marketing strategy, and advertising themes. Such changes typically aim to reposition the brand/company, occasionally to distance itself from negative connotations of the previous branding, or to move the brand upmarket; they may also communicate a new message a new board of directors wishes to communicate. Rebranding can be applied to new products, mature products, or even products still in development. The process can occur intentionally through a deliberate change in strategy or occur unintentionally from unplanned, emergent situations, such as a "Chapter 11 corporate restructuring," "union busting," or "bankruptcy." Rebranding can also refer to a change in a company/ corporate brand that may own several sub-brands for products or companies. Rebranding has become something of a fad at the turn of the millennium, with some companies rebranding several times. The rebranding of Philip Morris to Altria was done to help the company shed its negative image. Other rebrandings, such as the British Post Office's attempt to rebrand itself as Consignia, have proved such a failure that millions more had to be spent going back to square one. In a study of 165 cases of rebranding, Muzellec and Lambkin (2006) found that, whether a rebranding follows from corporate strategy (e.g., M&A) or constitutes the actual marketing strategy (change the corporate reputation), it aims at enhancing, regaining, transferring, and/or recreating the corporate brand equity. According to Sinclair (1999:13), business the world over acknowledges the value of brands. “Brands, it seems, alongside ownership of copyright and trademarks, computer software and specialist know-how, are now at the heart of the intangible value investors place on companies.” As such, companies in the 21st century may find it necessary to relook their brand in terms of its relevancy to consumers and the changing marketplace. Successful rebranding projects can yield a brand better off than before. Due to the tremendous impact that renaming and rebranding a company can have, it is critical to take the client through the process with great sensitivity and care. The new company identity and brand should also be launched in a subtle and methodical manner in order to avoid alienating old customers, while aiming to attract new business prospects. There is no magic formula. However, there is a methodical process that involves careful strategy, memorable visuals and personal interactions, all of which must speak in unison for a customer to place full trust and invest their emotions in what is on offer. Marketing develops the awareness and associations in consumer memory so that customers know (and are constantly reminded) which brands best serve their needs. Once in a lead position, it is marketing, consistent product or service quality, sensible pricing and effective distribution that will keep the brand ahead of the pack and provide value to its owners (Sinclair, 1999:15). Corporations often rebrand in order to respond to external and/or internal issues. Firms commonly have rebranding cycles in order to stay current with the times or set themselves ahead of the competition. Companies also utilize rebranding as an effective marketing tool to hide malpractices of the past, thereby shedding negative connotations that could potentially affect profitability. ..

Price does not matter… if the product is exactly what the buyer wants. Okay, so extreme prices will always matter, but for any price that’s not outlandish, it really should be irrelevant to the buyer’s decision process. The responsibility for creating this irrelevance is on the marketer. First, marketers need to know what buyers truly desire. What do buyers want? As Clay Christensen puts it, “what job needs to be done?” Second, marketers need to create products (goods, services, information, etc.) that fulfill buyers’ desires. Tailor products to buyer needs so that there are no gaps between desire and delivery. Finally, marketers need to communicate how their products satisfy buyer needs in a way that gets buyers to focus on, appreciate, and embrace the value of the benefits that the product offers. It’s at this moment that buyers will think so much about satisfaction that any reasonable price becomes merely an afterthought. When it comes to price, the goal of your branding efforts should be to make price as irrelevant as possible.

Shouldn't You?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKvb8ISN0Pg --~-- #branding #sales #marketing One Minute Wednesdays is the weekly video series that covers branding, rebranding, marketing, leadership and brand strategies for entrepreneurs around the world. SPECIAL THANKS TO TINY DINER in MPLS FOR THE USE OF THEIR LOCATION FOR THIS VIDEO. This Episode 50 of One Minute Wednesday covers how some brands go into endless “pitch mode” at the expense of their brands. They focus on short-term transactions versus the long-term lifecycle of a client relationship and adding value over the long term. It’s the great brands that have a dialog. It’s the fleeting brands that only know the pitch and focus only on their side of the discussion, ignoring the other side of the conversation. That spells disaster, in the short term and the long term. “Influencer Marketing” has been embraced by organizations as a key element in their marketing campaigns, and even a significant portion of their marketing budgets. To understand influencer marketing, let’s break down the term into its two parts: First, an “influencer” is a person who has the ability to change the attitude and/or behavior of other people. The more people affected, the bigger the influencer. “Marketing,” of course, is the process of getting people to change their attitudes and behaviors in order to sell a product, service, idea, etc. So “Influencer Marketing” is simply the promotion of products, services, and ideas through the use of people (usually popular celebrities or leaders) who have the ability to change other people’s attitudes and behaviors. Using popular people to promote brands has been happening for decades, but with social media, marketers can target more specific audiences than with the mass media options that were previously available. More importantly, social media has created new influencers who, through influencer marketing, can change people’s attitudes and behaviors to the benefit of the brand.
