Articles. Time management. Habits. [FRDP #6]

It was my first week of "learning English" and it was interesting. I tried to get rid of my habit of overemphasizing articles. But the habits are really hard to get rid of as you will see. I'm also trying to find a time-management approach that would work for me and help me keep everything organized (but not too organized). Let's talk about it.

I Adopted Rich People’s Habits, See How My Life Changed

09:10
Learn the secrets of success from those who built their own empires from scratch. You can try adopting the habits of super rich people and see how it will help you save money. Successful people are rarely night owls; they go to bed and wake up quite early. So this was the first habit I decided to take on. By the end of the first week, I noticed that I was able to do way more before noon than I could ever do during the whole day. One more week into the experiment I started waking up completely well-rested and excited to start a new day. Self-made successes swear by exercising every day for at least 30 minutes. After just 10 days, it already became a habit. I became more concentrated and calmer. If meditating helps successful people stay on top of their game, it should help me out too. Networking is like currency for successful people. A lot of successful people (like Steve Jobs, for instance) keep a super minimalistic approach to fashion, often wearing the same outfit every day. Truly smart and successful people control their expenses and don’t spend their money on useless things. Music: Operatic - Vibe Mountain https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Go to bed and wake up quite early 0:34 Exercise every day for at least 30 minutes 1:51 Meditate 3:01 Set goals and achieve them 3:57 Meet new people as much as you can 4:44 Read more useful books 5:34 Wear simple clothes 6:24 Be thrifty 7:10 Conclusion 8:08 SUMMARY -With will power of steel, I decided to wake up at the same time every day and come to work an hour early. It took me 3 days to get the schedule right. -The hardest part here wasn't even the gym itself, it was exercising after working all day. After just 10 days, it already became a habit. I started sleeping better and waking up easier. -Meditation turned out to be a really good way to get my head straight and renew my energy. -Even though I didn’t manage to tackle all my tasks, I was able to do more things in the first week than I did during the entire previous month. -I learned to find common ground with people from the get-go, met a lot of extraordinary individuals, and made some really good friends. -I carried a book with me at all times and read it on the way to work and back home or during lunch. As a result, by the end of the first month, I had finished my fourth book. -I no longer had to waste time every day choosing my outfit, deciding whether or not it matched or if it was trendy and whatnot. -I started out by making a list of everything that I bought every day so that I could see what I spent my money on. This system helped me save 40% of my salary in the first month and almost 60% in the second. -New habits really did completely change my life for the better. 40 LIFE HACKS YOU SHOULD KNOW

21:57
MEGA HACKS Our feet get arguably more wear and tear than any part of our body, so it's no wonder that many of us struggle to keep our feet soft and touchable. With the amount of heavy moisturizers available at beauty counters and in nature, it hadn't occurred to me to try aspirin to get rid of dry skin. Finally, I warily began to allow myself to think about using aspirin on my feet. I mean, if I was going to stray from a completely all-natural routine, I may as well start with my feet, right? I don't own a muddler, so I used several different tools in my kitchen before I decided a mini-hammer was my best bet for gently mashing my aspirin tablets in a ceramic bowl. Yes, this was risky, but true DIY beauty has an edge. Regardless of what method you use to crush your aspirin, make sure you don't have any big chunks inside to avoid a coarse paste, this is likely to take away from the exfoliating experience. You want instant powder for your feet. Next, add a citrus to form a paste. I squeezed fresh lime juice into my bowl, about half a lime did the trick. Gently massage your aspirin foot scrub directly on your feet, making sure they are free from any dander or floor dust. You don't want to massage spilled coffee grinds into your feet! Although that probably would just give your feet some extra stimulation... One tip I learned during my aspirin investigation was to place bags loosely around your feet to avoid messing up your floors and to let the aspirin do its job. Since I found walking around in plastic bags hilarious, I decided to go about my house chores while making an obnoxious amount of noise. After I rinsed and wiped my feet off, I was pleased to find that they were super soft and that the dry area in question seemed to soften as well! I would imagine that this foot scrub would have best results being used a few times a week, but I would avoid over-medicating your feet daily. Exfoliating everyday can lead to more dryness and irritation! Aspirin may not be the best way to relieve dry, cracked feet and it's certainly not going to be the least time-consuming. However, this beauty hack is definitely a cheap fix, since generic aspirin runs you about four dollars at any drugstore. If you're stuck on vacation with a case of the calluses, this would work great in a pinch! You may have already seen or even used one of these strange-looking things. They look a bit like a spider with soft tips at the ends of its legs. But unlike spiders, people actually enjoy having these things "crawling" over the sensitive skin on their scalp. Each tip contacts millions of nerve endings and the result is a sensation of complete well-being (some people even describe it as "orgasmic")! These head massagers are available in stores, but if you want to save some money, here's how to make your own in just five minutes... You’ll need: a cheap whisk cutting pliers strong glue Here’s how : Begin by cutting the metal rods of your whisk with the cutting pliers at different levels. The idea is to create "spider legs" with some longer and some shorter to make contact with the entire surface of the head. Spread the branches of the whisk with your hands. Use the pliers to bend the metal rods into a smoothly rounded shape. Now pour a small amount of glue onto a sheet of paper. Dip the ends of the stems into the glue to form round, thick balls. Let it dry for several hours. And now the final step: the big test! You can try it out on yourself, but it's more fun to try it out on your friends and enjoy watching them smile, giggle, and sigh with elation as you caress their heads with your new creation. Here's my video showing all the steps and some reactions to this titillating little device! ; ) Head massages not only feel good, they're also great for our health. They can stimulate hair growth and trigger the release of hormones needed for proper stress management. So why not create your own head massager!? It only takes a few minutes to make and can be a lot of fun to try out with your friends. You can even make a game of it and see how long people can keep a straight face with this "spider" crawling on their head. How long do you think you can hold out??? You can use the PLR articles for article directory submissions. Leave out popular article directories like Ezine and Associated Content because they have changed their policies and thus, they don't accept PLR articles. Nevertheless, there are thousands of article directories out there where you can submit the PLR articles and gain traffic. You should not use the PLR articles on your blog "as it is" because you will seriously jeopardize not only your blog but your reputation too. Further, not every PLR article has quality content. Most of them are just mindless scribbling, so be sure from whom you are buying them. Again, you can buy PLR articles to get some ideas on your niche topic if you are running out of them. 7 Ways to Survive Natural Disasters

09:35
How to Survive Natural Disasters. Here’s a list of survival tips that can save your life in an emergency. We live in a time when natural disasters occur more and more often and get more and more devastating. Many of us believe we should blame the human race for that. Whether it’s true or not, we all want to know how to survive when those disasters happen. Some rules are universal for most natural disasters. A national campaign called Ready was started in the United States to inform the population about how to get ready for and survive in different emergency situations. It recommends having a basic survival kit to provide you with the most important things just in case. Remember you will need to have enough food, water, and other supplies for at least 72 hours after the disaster. “Other supplies” include a battery powered weather radio, flashlight, first aid kit, a whistle, a dust mask, personal sanitation items (such as moist towelettes), pliers, can opener for food, maps of your area and an emergency cell phone with backup batteries. TIMESTAMPS Hurricane 0:40 Tornado 1:45 Tsunami 3:15 Flood 4:10 Avalanche 5:03 Wildfire 6:00 Earthquake 7:00 SUMMARY - If a hurricane starts while you are driving, leave your vehicle and find a building to shelter in, or a ditch. Stopping in an overpass will not save you. If your home is a trailer and there is enough time to flee to a safe area – do it. - If a tornado starts when you are in a public building, follow the same rules. You want to stay as low as possible. Avoid windows and open spaces such as auditoriums, gyms, and large hallways. Desks and benches can give you some extra protection if you get under them. It is impossible to outrun a tornado. - Tsunamis are so fast they hit the coast minutes after the earthquake. Remember that tall buildings, including hotels right in the beach area, can provide an excellent shelter. In case a tsunami finds you at sea, stay there instead of going back to the coast. It won’t be a safe haven. - Don’t try to be the bravest person around and stay in your house once you hear the evacuation warning. Leave for safety in higher grounds with your important papers in a waterproof container. If a flash flood gives you no time to evacuate and the water is all around you, don’t try to swim across it. - When an avalanche starts, try to move to the side of the slope as fast as you can. There will be more snow in the center of the flow. To move faster, drop any heavy equipment you have on you. If you can’t escape it, try using a sturdy tree to keep you above the snow. - If you find yourself in a wildfire area, it is critically important to ensure that you can breathe. If you fail to do it, you can pass out in the midst of a danger zone. Use a wet cloth to cover your nose and mouth and escape to safety. - If an earthquake starts when you are inside, stay where you were. Experts say that during an earthquake you must drop to the floor, get underneath a table, cover your neck and head with one hand, and hold on with the other hand. Your entire body must be under the table. Don’t try to run out of the building - the exterior of a building is one of the most dangerous places. Why Japanese Are So Thin According to Science

09:37
Why are Japanese people so thin? What do people eat in Japan? While the rest of the world is seeing anywhere from 15 to over 30% of its population severely overweight, Japan has managed to keep that number at just 3.6%. When it comes to health tips, it's better to turn to the country with the longest life expectancy and one of the lowest obesity rates on the planet. If you’re ready to find out how the Japanese manage to stay so effortlessly thin, keep our new video! In Japan, they usually stick to 3 wholesome meals a day that don’t leave them hungry or dealing with sudden cravings. Those who do snack keep it in small quantities and with a lot of moderation. Also, the secret to Japan’s success begins with their diet, which is pretty carb-heavy and low in saturated fats. Their main dishes of choice include vegetables, grains, fish, and meat. Dairy products and fruits are consumed in moderation. They tend to stay away from foods with excessive amounts of salt and sugar, like burgers and soda. TIMESTAMPS: Diet 0:50 No snacking 1:39 Fast food 2:02 Eating on time 2:58 Exercise for kids 3:44 Portion sizes 4:27 A great public transportation system 5:20 Tea time 6:15 Dinnerware 7:25 Food as an experience 8:09 #japan #japanesediet #japanesefood Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - The secret to Japan’s success begins with their diet, which is pretty carb-heavy and low in saturated fats. Their main dishes of choice include vegetables, grains, fish, and meat. - Just like the rest of the world, a lot of Japanese people have a hectic schedule that doesn’t leave a lot of time or opportunity to prepare a home-cooked meal. In that case, they can turn to their version of fast food, which is usually a lot healthier and resembles home-style cooking. - Most Japanese people have very regulated meal times. They eat 3 filling meals a day, with breakfast usually happening between 8 and 9am, lunch from 12 to 1pm, and dinner between 6 and 8pm. - It’s a lot more common for Japanese children to walk or cycle to school. Of course, other countries have a lot of reasons why it might not be efficient or safe for kids to hoof it to class. - Portion sizes have been on a steep rise in the last 20 years throughout the world. For example, countries like Australia, Canada, Germany, the U.S., and the U.K. have much larger fast food portions than Japan. - Separate bicycle lanes and plenty of safe areas for pedestrians are common sites in Japan. This allows the Japanese to naturally burn calories as they commute to and from work or school every day. - Tea, especially the green variety, is the number one beverage in Japan. Green tea has been praised for having a ton of major health benefits, like increasing metabolism, burning fat, fighting anxiety, and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, to name a few. - The practice of using chopsticks also helps in weight management, since they make you eat more slowly and in smaller bites. This slow process of eating helps people catch when they’re feeling full and avoid eating too much. The fact that food is served on a bunch of plates also slows down the process. - The number one way that the Japanese stay thin has to do with removing distractions and being mindful about the process of food consumption. Eating in Japan is treated with respect. A Simple Trick on How to Save Up A Lot of Money Fast

05:58
How to save up money easily for a house or for a new car? Learn a genius hack on how to save more money each month. As a bonus, we'll tell teach you how to safely hide your cash. "If only I could stop spending money on stuff I don’t need, I would buy so many useful things!" Have you ever thought this? Then this video is just for you. RULE 1: Subtract the last digit from each number to get a zero at the end. It’s easier to “zero out” cash into a piggy bank, and you may use a savings account or any other bank account to transfer the money from your card. RULE 2: Save everything that’s left over before payday — "zero out" one more time at the end of the month. For instance, you still have $300 in cash and $1,000 in the bank — just move it to your savings account. TIMESTAMPS «Zero out» your money every evening 0:31 Move any unspent money to your saving account 1:46 What are the advantages of this simple method? 2:05 The worst places to hide your cash: In the backyard 2:41 Under your mattress 2:58 In shopping bags 3:13 In old wallets and handbags 3:27 In laundry baskets 3:40 Behind a picture or photo in a frame 3:58 In safes that are not bolted down 4:13 In drawers and cabinets 4:34 Where to hide your money 4:53 SUMMARY If you feel like you have run out of places to hide your money, try the following suggestions: • Wrap your money in a plastic bag, and tape it to the bottom of the kitchen counter or to the bottom of your kid’s toy box (the best option is to create a false bottom in it). • In a waterproof container stored in the lowest drawer of your refrigerator or freezer. Make sure it doesn’t read "Ice cream" or something else yummy thieves might want to try. • Hide your savings among buttons, threads, and other sewing accessories. Unless thieves suddenly need to sew something, they most probably won’t look for your money in there. • In a pair of old shoes, clothes, or maybe in an old computer that no longer works. Make sure it all looks like junk you have not disposed of yet.
