How to use articles 'a', 'an', and 'the' in English? - Basic English Grammar lesson
How to use articles 'a', 'an', and 'the' in English? - Basic English Grammar lesson English articles ("a", "an", and "the") come before nouns. They help to communicate which thing you're talking about, similar to words like "this", "my", and "all". And they're confusing to a lot of English learners. Articles are really, really hard! If your native language doesn't use articles, they can be really confusing. The truth is, you might never completely master articles. Most non-native English speakers don't, even know if they're quite fluent and have spoken English for a very long time. That's mostly OK. Mistakes with articles don't usually get in the way of communication. Your listeners or readers will usually be able to figure out what you mean by guessing whether you meant "a thing" or "the thing". So while you should try to improve your skill with articles, you shouldn't worry much about them. This video lesson by Niharika will clear your basic doubts for using articles correctly.

Transcript: Hello and welcome. In this lesson, I will teach you the seven rules that you need to know for using articles in English correctly. Articles are the words ‘a’, ‘an’, and ‘the’. There is a final quiz at the end of the lesson for you to test your understanding. OK, the first rule is about where to use ‘a’ and where to use ‘an’. So rule number one is use ‘a’ before a consonant sound, and ‘an’ before a vowel sound. So in all of these words – you see that they start with a consonant sound. Cat starts with /k/, dog starts with /d/, boy with /b/, girl with /g/, house with /h/ and tree with /t/. So we say ‘a cat’, ‘a dog’, ‘a boy’, ‘a girl’, ‘a house’, ‘a tree’ etc. Notice that in natural speech, we don’t say ‘a’, we say ‘uh’ – like ‘a cat’. In this next set of words, you see that, they all start with a vowel sound – apple starts with /ae/, engineer starts with /e/, ice-cream with /ai/, old with /o/, umbrella with /uh/. So we say ‘an apple’, ‘an engineer’, ‘an ice-cream cone’, ‘an old womman’, ‘an umbrella’ and so on. In speech, we don’t say ‘an’, we say /ən/. Let’s do a small exercise. You see ten items on the screen. For each one, I want you to say if you would use ‘a’ or ‘an’ before it. Stop the video, think about it, then play the video again and check. OK here are the answers. Did you get them all right? I want to focus on items number seven to ten because these are a little tricky. Number seven is ‘a university’ because even though ‘university’ starts with the letter ‘u’ the first sound of the word is not a vowel sound. We don’t say /ooniversity/. We say /yoo-nə- vər-si-ty/ so that first sound is a /y/ sound, which a consonant sound, so we say ‘a university.’ Number eight is similar. The word ‘European’ starts with a /y/ sound, so ‘a European tour.’ In number nine, the spelling has an ‘h’ at the start but that ‘h’ is silent. We don’t say /hau-ər/, we say /au-ər/. The first sound is an /au/ sound which is a vowel sound, so this is ‘an hour’. In the same way, in number ten, we say MA. ‘M’ starts with an /e/ sound which is again a vowel sound, so ‘an MA in English’. OK let’s move on to rule number two: Use ‘a’ and ‘an’ ONLY with singular, countable nouns. We say that a noun is countable if we can count it – one, two, three, four etc. All of these words on the screen are countable. We can say one elephant, three cars, ten teachers, five hundred onions and so on. Now if you talk about one person or thing, like one elephant or one car, then that’s called a singular noun and if you say ten teachers or five hundred onions, those are called plural nouns. Uncountable nouns cannot be counted in this way. Nouns like water, sugar, milk, love, anger, knowledge are some examples. If you think about it, you cannot say “I drank four waters” or “I want eight milks”. To a person, you can say “I love you” but you can’t say “I have five loves for you” – that doesn’t make any sense. So these are all uncountable. Alright, so the rule is - you can only use ‘a’ and ‘an’ if you’re talking about one person or one thing. Let’s do another quick exercise. Here are ten items again. This time, you see ‘a’ or ‘an’ before the nouns, but some of these are wrong. They should NOT have ‘a’ or ‘an’ before them. Stop the video, identify the mistakes, then play the video again and check. OK, here are the answers. Number three is wrong because ‘shirts’ is a plural and you cannot use ‘a’ or ‘an’ before a plural noun. Number five is wrong because ‘happiness’ is uncountable, so again, ‘a’ or ‘an’ cannot be used there. The same goes for number six – water is uncountable. Number nine is wrong because ‘doctors’ is a plural – you can say ‘a doctor’ but not ‘a doctors’. And finally, in number ten, advice is an uncountable noun – so you cannot ask for ‘an advice’. Now a quick note here: the article ‘the’ can be used with all kinds of nouns – singular or plural countable nouns, and uncountable nouns. OK, so let’s now talk about how to choose between ‘a’ or ‘an’ and ‘the’. Here’s rule number three: Use ‘a’ or ‘an’ to talk about a person or thing unknown to your listener. And use ‘the’ to talk about a person or thing known to your listener. For example, “My sister has two computers: a PC and a laptop. The PC is quite old but the laptop is brand new.” I say ‘a PC’ and ‘a laptop’ because that’s the first time I’m mentioning the two computers. That is, until this point, they are unknown to you, the listener.

Articles - a, an & the - English Grammar lesson
Articles - a, an & the - English Grammar lesson Take the quiz - http://www.learnex.in/articles-a-an-the/ The 3 articles in English are a, an and the. The learner has to decide noun-by-noun which one of the articles to use. In fact, there are 4 choices to make, because sometimes no article is necessary. Native-speakers, of course, use the articles correctly without thinking. English learners, on the other hand, need to have some guidelines for making the right choice - particularly those learners whose own language does not have articles. The guidelines that follow in this lesson should help ESL students to a basic understanding of English article use. The words a, an and the are known as articles. • We use an before words that begin with vowels (a,e,i,o,u). E.g. I found an orange boat. However there are few exceptions like the words honest and hour. In the words honest and hour the alphabet h is silent and therefore the letter o becomes the first alphabet of the word and hence we use the article an. E.g. Mr. Smith is an honest man. I will be with you in an hour. We use a before words that begin with consonants (all the letters of the alphabet except the vowels). E.g. Bumble is a baby elephant. • We use the before words that we have already spoken about. E.g. I bought an apple. The apple is very sweet.
Articles: A, An & The - English grammar tutorial video lesson
Articles: a, an & the. Learn all about when to use 'a' or 'an' and when and how to use 'the.' Welcome to English Grammar Spot! This lesson is about 'a', 'an' and 'the'. Otherwise known as articles. Take a look at the following sentences The man walked right past me. A giant spider crawled across the ceiling. An elephant is a large animal. All the underlined words here are articles. First I am going to show you how and when to use 'a'. We use 'a' before a word that starts with a constant for example: B, C, D, F, G, H, J , K, L, M, N, P. Q, R, S, T, V, W, X, Y, Z. For example: A blue bird. A nice man. A wonderful dinner. Hereblue, nice and wonderful all start with consonants. Now I'm going to show you how and when to use 'an'.We use 'an' before a word that starts with a vowel. And the vowels in the English language are A, E, I, O, U. For example: an apple an egg an insect. Now there are some exceptions. The use of 'a' or 'an' depends on the beginning sound so the word might start with a consonant or a vowel, but we really need to listen to how the word it is pronounced. For example: hour. We see an 'H' but we hear a vowel sound at the beginning 'our' and 'hour'. So what do we do in this case? We use the article 'an.' Because we hear a vowel sound. So we say an hour and not a hour. Another exception: the use of 'a' and 'an' depends on the beginning sound unique. We see a 'U' but we hear a consonant sound 'you'. So what to do we do we do here? a unique chance and not an unique chance. So remember, you have to listen carefully to how the word is pronounced and then you choose whether you use 'a' or 'an'. Now we need to talk about the indefinite and the definite article. We already talked about 'a' and 'an'. but we also need to talk about 'the'. 'A' and 'an' are indefinite articles. They are used to describe one or a number of things, but that also goes for 'the'. But here 'the' is the definite article and it is used to describe one or number of things So what is the difference? The indefinite article describes things in general. For instance a dog barks. Because that is what dogs do. Or a cat 'miaauws' The definite article describes specific things. For example when we say the dog barks, we have a particular dog in mind. For instance the dog of your neighbours or a dog that we see in the street. Now there is also something that we call the 'zero article'. Here we do not use an article at all whereas in other languages we might. Sometimes an article is left out. This happens when there's only one of someone or something. For example: Sally is head teacher there's only one head teacher in school and perhaps most important Elizabeth II is Queen of the United Kingdom there's only one queen in England. Sometimes 'the' is left out. When talking about seasons in general spring is in the air, not the spring is in the air but when we talk about a general season we use 'the.' I visited her in in the spring of 2012. Here I have a particular moment in mind. Again sometimes 'the' is left out, for instance when talking about meals in general. When shall we have lunch? I was very happy with the lunch she served. And again here we use 'the' because we have a specific lunch in mind. We also do not use an article when talking about church, hospital, prison , school, university in general. So 'the' is left out, only when we talk about the function of the building For instance, he went to university last year. So here we do not have a particular university in mind. Whereas: The university is well situated. This is about a particular university. For instance Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale. The is left out when we talk about languages. Arabic is difficult to learn. I love learning English. I thank you for your attention for regular updates please subscribe to youtube.com/englishgrammarspot or go to www.englishgrammarspot.com.

13 Uses of 'THE' - Articles (a, an, the) - Lesson 2 - English Grammar
In this lesson, you will learn the 13 USES of THE. Transcript: Welcome back. This is lesson two of my series on articles. If you haven’t seen the first lesson, you will find the link to the full playlist below. Alright, in this lesson, I will show you 13 uses of the definite article – ‘the’. As always, there’s a quiz at the end to test your understanding. Use number one is something we discussed in the previous lesson. This is also the most important use. Use 'the' to talk about a person or thing known to your listener. For example, "Julie has a nine-year-old son. The boy wants to be an astronaut." Here, I first say 'a nine-year old son' because you don't know him yet. But once I have introduced him in the sentence, I then say 'The boy' because he is now known to you. Here's another example: "Can you answer the phone?" If I say this to you, then there's probably a phone ringing somewhere. So the phone is already known to you, and I say 'the phone'. And finally, "This is the watch that my sister gave me for my birthday." This example is a little different because if I stop with "This is the watch" - you will be confused because you don't know the watch. But then if I give you more information about the watch - it's the watch that my sister gave me for my birthday - so that way it becomes known to you. Let's now move on to use number two: use 'the' with unique things – that is, where there is only one of something. For example, we say ‘the sun’ (because there’s only one sun). Similarly, ‘the moon’, ‘the sky’, ‘the world’, ‘the universe’ and so on. Here are a couple of sentences: "Everyone knows that the sun rises in the east." and "Rahul has traveled all over the world." Some other things we consider unique are ‘the government’, 'the police', 'the Internet' and so on. As in these sentences: “The police are investigating a murder in our neighborhood.” and “Almost everybody uses the Internet today.” OK the next use is with some words referring to nature or the environment in a general way. These are words such as the countryside (which means rural or village areas), the town, the mountains, the weather etc. For example, "My son enjoys spending time in the countryside." It means my son likes to spend time relaxing in rural areas. Here are a couple more sentences: "We're going to take a trip to the mountains." and "I love the weather in Los Angeles." Use number four is talking about objects of common experience like in the expressions that you see on the screen. We say that these are objects of common experience because we all experience these in our lives. Have a look at this example: "I met an interesting man at the park yesterday." You may not know which park but it doesn't matter - the park is common experience. In the same way "Did you read the newspaper this morning?" I don't care which newspaper you read, I just want to know if read one today. Here's another example: "Darren likes to sing in the shower." We also use 'the ' with some types of media (including the word 'media' itself) and also forms of entertainment. For example, "I don't listen to the radio a lot these days." or “Pooja is at the movies with her friends." Note that 'at the movies' means at a movie theatre. But it's important to note that TV doesn't work this way. You can use 'the' with TV if you mean a television set. Like "Will you help me move the TV?" But if you mean television as a medium, then you say 'on TV' - as in "I saw a documentary on TV today." Not 'on the TV'. It's just a crazy rule in English. Let's move on to use number five now. Use 'the' with some time expressions. You see these on the screen - we always use 'the' in these expressions. For example, "Kids hate getting up early in the morning.", "A friend of mine got married the day before yesterday." and "We love to go swimming in the summer." We also say ‘the past’, ‘the present’ and ‘the future’ probably because there's only one past, present and future. Like in this sentence: "We must learn our lessons from the past and work towards the future." 'The' is also found in time expressions like ‘the eighteenth century’, 'the 1960s' (or simply 'the 60s') and so on. For example, "This house was built by my grandfather in the sixties." Now you have to be a little careful with time expressions because there are many that should be used without articles. You see some of these on the screen. We will discuss these more in the next lesson when we talk about where to use no article. The next use is superlative forms. These are expressions like ‘the best’, ‘the worst’, ‘the biggest’, ‘the smallest’ and so on.

The Constitution, the Articles, and Federalism: Crash Course US History #8
In which John Green teaches you about the United States Constitution. During and after the American Revolutionary War, the government of the new country operated under the Articles of Confederation. John will tell you how the convention came together, some of the compromises that had to be made to pass this thing, and why it's very lucky that the framers installed a somewhat reasonable process for making changes to the thing. 8 English Sentences: Find the Mistakes
Can you find the mistakes in these English sentences? In today's lesson, you'll review 8 grammar rules of correct English sentences. You'll get to practice correcting sentences with me in the video. Once you learn these easy grammar rules, you'll avoid making common mistakes and improve your marks on English essays and exams like IELTS, TOEFL, and TOEIC. To test if you really understand these rules, take the quiz. Good luck with your English! http://www.engvid.com/8-english-sentences-find-the-mistakes/ TRANSCRIPT Hi, my name's Rebecca. For the next few minutes, let's pretend you are the English teacher and you're correcting your student's homework. Let's look at some of these sentences and see if you can find some of the errors in these English sentences. Okay, the first sentence: "My mother she works in a bank." Is that okay? Well, let me tell you right now that actually none of these sentences are okay; there is a mistake in every sentence. So see if you can find the mistake. Okay? "My mother she works in a bank." What's the mistake? Okay... Here, "she", all right? I'm just going to grab a different marker. So what happened here is we said: "My mother she works in a bank." So we cannot repeat the subject. The mistake here is that we had a double subject; the subject was mentioned twice. In English, you can't do that. You just mention the subject once. So this sentence, in order to be correct, would need to be: "My mother works in a bank." Or: "She works in a bank." If you know who "she" is. Right? But you can't say both. So no double subjects. Number two: "John is an engineer" What's wrong with that? Look carefully. Well, what's wrong is that it's missing the punctuation. All right? Part of a correct sentence is correct punctuation. So here, there was no period at the end of the sentence, that's what was wrong. Next sentence: "The manager of my department" What's wrong with that? Well, what's wrong is that it's not a sentence because it doesn't have any verb, there's no verb there. Okay? And, of course, you need to continue this sentence, and then eventually you'd need to have some punctuation as well. But basically, there is no... This is a sentence fragment. This is called only a part of a sentence. It is not a complete English sentence or a correct English sentence. There is no verb. Missing verb. Next one: "we enjoy watching old movies." Okay? Again, look carefully. What's wrong there? Well, it has a subject, it has a verb, but this is the problem. The first letter in the first word of an English sentence has to be capitalized and that's what was missing here. You see, we didn't have that problem before. Okay. Next one: "I like very much Chinese food." Okay? Maybe that sounds okay to you, but doesn't sound okay to me. It's close, but not quite. What's wrong? Well, what's wrong here is this, the word order. Not only do you need to have certain elements, you need to have the words in the right order. So in English, the correct order for this sentence would be: "I like Chinese food very much." Okay? Not: "very much Chinese food." "I like Chinese food very much." Okay? Next: "Maria need help with her hw." "Maria need help with her homework." What's wrong there? Okay? So the mistake is here, the mistake is in subject-verb agreement. The verb has to agree with the subject. Right? And if we say: "Maria", it's like: "she", and we would have to say: "She needs". "Maria needs help with her hw." So the error here was in subject-verb agreement. Next one: "delivered the package yesterday" Okay? "delivered the package yesterday" What's wrong here? Well, it's similar to this one, except here, we had a sentence fragment and we had the subject. Here, we have a sentence fragment, and we have a verb, but we don't have a subject. We have a missing subject. So this is also a sentence fragment. "Fragment" means only part. It is not a complete sentence. Next one: "We recieved your letter." "We recieved your letter." Sounds fine, but if you're an English teacher, you're going to look really carefully at each of the words. And what's wrong is here, the mistake is here. It's a spelling mistake. Okay? The word "received" is one of those tricky words with the "e" and the "i", and the "i" and the "e" that you have to learn very well. So spelling mistakes will also bring down your marks. If you're doing the IELTS, if you're bring... Doing the TOEFL, any errors of this kind will bring your marks down. Okay? So even though they seem very basic, I know from experience that students make all of these mistakes. Be very careful not to make them. Let's look at what principles apply to correct English sentences. Okay? So, an English sentence must express a complete thought and it must express it with certain elements. Now, just because a sentence must express a complete thought, it doesn't have to have a lot of words; it doesn't have to be a very long sentence.

Basic English Grammar: Pronouns - SHE, HER, HE, HIS
http://www.engvid.com/ It is wrong to say "Her is cute". You must say "SHE is cute". Her, she, he and him are confusing in English. Ronnie's going to help you understand. Watch HER video and learn the differences. Never make mistakes with these pronouns again after you watch his grammar lesson! Take the quiz here: http://www.engvid.com/personal-pronouns/ TRANSCRIPT Hello. How are you? I'm very, very well. Thank you. My name is Ronnie. I'm going to teach you something very easy but a little bit confusing and difficult even if you have studied English or grammar for a while. I hear people make this mistake every day. Again, so this is what we're doing: when you should use "she" or "he" or "his" -- sorry -- "her" or "his". These are two words that a lot of people get confused. First of all, the thing -- or a mistake that a lot of people make is "she" and "he" -- which one's the girl? Which one's the boy? Most of you know that "she" is the girl, but when you speak, you mix it up, and you say, "My mom went to the store. He bought -- " what? He what? Your mom is a "he" now? What happened on the way to the store? Did something happen to your mom that changed it into a "he"? So be careful. "She" is a girl; "he" is a boy. Now, this is the trick. You will remember this forever if you get this. "She" or "he" going to be followed by a verb, okay? So subject + verb. "She" or "he". So "she likes", "he hates", and then, if you want to, you're going to write a noun, or you're going to say a noun. For example, "She likes chickens." "He hates apricots. He doesn't like them at all." So when you use "she" or "he", it's always going to be followed by a verb. When we use "her" or "his", it's going to be followed by a noun because it is a possessive pronoun. So I can say, "her dog" because "dog" is a noun. Or I can say "his chicken". Then, usually, I would use a verb. For example, "Her dog is cute", or "his chicken -- let's say we put an S -- his chickens are -- these are your verbs. Uh-oh -- sexy!" Sexy chicken time! So if you need to remember, "Oh, my God. Do I say -- do I say 'her' or 'his' or 'she' or 'he'?" Just remember: "she" or "he" plus the verb -- any verb you want, and "her" or "his" plus a noun. If you can remember these two very simple things for English grammar, you're going to be, "Hallelujah, Ronnie. You saved my life." You're welcome. Stay tuned. Go to www.engvid.com for a quiz on "she", "he", "his", and "hers". 'Til then.
English Grammar - Prepositions to say where you live: AT, ON, IN
http://www.engvid.com/ Do you live ON Main St? AT Main St? IN Main St? Learn how to answer basic English questions about where you live with the right prepositions. I'll teach you how to use "in Los Angeles", "at Hill St", "on the 6th floor" and more. This is an important lesson for beginners and a great review for all levels. Take the quiz on this lesson here: http://www.engvid.com/english-grammar-prepositions-at-on-in/ TRANSCRIPT: Hi, my name is Rebecca from www.engvid.com. Sometimes the most basic questions can cause us confusion. Why? Because when you have a question like: "Where do you live?" you need to know which preposition to use to answer the question correctly. So let's look at the board so that you can learn to answer this question correctly and confidently. So, suppose you need to give your address, the actual number where you live, the number of the house, then you say: "I live at 35 Hill St." Okay? -"Where do you live?" -"I live at 35 Hill St." So when you're giving the number with the street name, remember to say: "at". If you're just asked: "Which street do you live on?" Then you can say: "I live on Hill St." So when you're only giving the name of the street, use the preposition: "on". Now, just for you to know and remember: there are many words which basically represent the word: "street". You could have something like: "Street, Road, Avenue, Drive, Boulevard". Okay? "I live on Hill St.", "I live on San Fernando Rd.", "I live on Fairfax Ave.", "I live on Riverside Dr.", "I live on Hollywood Blvd." Okay? I don't, but hypothetically. All right? Next, if you're asked: "Where do you live?" as in the city or the country, then you have to use a different proposition. Then you have to use the preposition: "in". So: "Where do you live?" -"I live in Los Angeles.", "I live in California.", "I live in the U.S." Okay? So if you're mentioning the city, the state or the country then you want to make sure you use: "in". So: "I live at 35 Hill St. I live on Hill St. I live in Los Angeles." Okay? "At", "on", "in". Here are a few other points that sometimes you need to mention some more detailed information. There also, you need to know which preposition to use. So: "I live at the intersection of Pine and Maple Streets." So you have two streets, and you live close by so you can say: "I live at the intersection of Pine and Maple Streets." Okay? Or if somebody asks you: "Which floor do you live on?" You can say: "I live on the 15th floor.", "I live on the 6th floor." All right? And last, you might also sometimes need to give this information and you can say: "I live in an apartment." If you're in England, you might say: "I live in a flat." You could also say: "I live in a house." All right? So these are the three basic prepositions: "at", "on", and "in" that you need to answer the fundamental question: "Where do you live?" Now, to review that, next I'll be giving you a little exercise so you can practice what you've learned. All right, so we have two people here, Lucas and Sarah and we're going to ask them: "Where do you live?" And you help me to figure... fill in the blanks and to know how to answer the question. "So Lucas, where do you live?" So he says: "I live in Miami." Okay? Next one is: "the 6th floor" so what does he say? "I live on the 6th floor." "Where do you live?" "92 Bird St." So what does he say? "I live at 92 Bird St." -"Where do you live?" -"I live in Florida." "Kendall Dr.": -"Where do you live?" -"I live on Kendall Dr." "Where do you live?" "An apt": "I live in an apt." Okay? Now we know all about Lucas. Let's go to Sarah. "Sarah, where do you live?" "65 Oxford St." So she says: "I live at 65 Oxford St." "Where do you live?" "London": "I live in London." "Regent St.": "I live on Regent St." "A rented flat": "I live in a rented flat." "The 10th floor": "I live on the 10th floor." And: "Where do you live?" She wants to answer: "England" so she says: "I live in England." All right? The only way to learn these is to practice them a lot. Put down information like this and try to see if you can put in the right answers. All right? If you want some more practice, you can also go to our website: www.engvid.com and there you'll have a chance to do a quiz on this topic. So good luck with your English. Thanks for watching.

Otherwise, the remaining moisture can cause a fungal infection. - The tannins contained in tea leaves eradicate bacteria and reduce sweating. - An apple cider vinegar poultice will also help dispose of foot odor. - Apply antiperspirant in the evening, after a shower, to dry skin. Antiperspirants contain chemicals that help reduce sweating. - If your feet not only smell bad but also start itching and peeling, go to the doctor. These may be symptoms of ringworm, an infection, or mycosis. - It’s better to have two pairs of shoes for each season to wear them in turns. - Put on a pair of thick socks and then your favorite shoes. Run the hair dryer over the tight parts of the shoe. Walk around in the shoes until they are completely cool, and repeat the action if necessary. - Fill a plastic bag with water, and put it inside your shoes. Place them in the freezer, and freeze them overnight. When you take them out in the morning, you’ll notice that your shoes became wider as the water turned into ice. - This trick can widen your new training shoes and even loafers. Push a fresh potato inside the shoe, and leave it overnight. - Apply some moisturizing cream inside the shoe, paying attention to heel and toe areas. The moisturizer will soften the leather and as you wear the shoes the next day, your feet will slightly reshape them. - Spray enough alcohol on the tight areas from inside the shoes so they are wet. Stuff the shoes with crumpled paper overnight. How to Use Whey Protein for Weight Loss
To support our channel and level up your health, check out: Our Fast Weight Loss Course: http://thehealthnerds.com/the-science-of-fast-weight-loss-course Our Better Health Basics Course: http://thehealthnerds.com/food-health-happiness In this short video, you will learn exactly how to use whey protein for weight loss and better health! Men and women can both use whey protein shakes to lose weight, find out how! A lot of people think whey protein is only for bodybuilders, bros, and super jacked stick figures like myself. Not true. Whey protein is actually a tremendous tool for those of you looking to lose weight. That’s why today, I am going to show you exactly how to use whey protein for weight loss. Here are the 7 best tips and steps for beginners. 1. Understand what whey protein actually is. Whey is the liquid part of milk that gets separated when cheese is made. If you’ve ever opened a yogurt container and have seen a watery substance at the top, this is whey protein. This liquid substance is what is turned into powder form to create whey protein. Just in case you’re wondering, this process also cuts out the 95% of the lactose so if you’re allergic to dairy, you really have nothing to fear. 2. Understand the different types of whey protein powder. There are three main forms of protein powder: whey concentrate, isolate, and hydrolestate. Concentrate is about 70-80% protein with some milk sugar and fat. Isolate is 90% protein and has a little less sugar and fat. Hydrolysate is also known as hydrolyzed whey, has virtually 0 sugar and fat, and is mixed with enzymes for the faster digestion into the blood stream. So, you may be wondering, does the type of protein matter? Not really. The minute differences between to two are not enough that it should cause you any stress or concern. Leave that sort of worrying for your overall diet and exercise routine. For what it’s worth, most of the studies are done using whey isolate and it’s what I use as well. 3. Understand why protein works so well for weight loss There are 3 reasons are particularly compelling… #1. It will keep you full. Protein can cut down sugar cravings by as much as 60%. #2. It’s easy. As long as you have a blender bottle on hand, all you need to do is add water. Which is great to have on the go or at work where eating healthy is more difficult. #3. It preserves lean muscle tissue when dropping weight. This ensures that when you do lose weight the majority of it is fat. We talk a lot about protein on this channel and this is just the short list of reasons why. 4. Whey protein has lots of other proven health benefits, which helps the body function better and makes weight loss easier. Things like: Improves muscle performance Lowers blood pressure Reduces symptoms of stress Helps you get in more water naturally And contains a small amount of antioxidants. Are additional reasons why whey protein is important and helpful for weight loss. 5. What are the best times to take whey protein? In order of importance. Take 30 minutes before or after your workouts. This has been shown to help with muscle development and recovery after a workout. Take 30 minutes before meals or dinning out. This will help you keep you from binge eating and give you more control over what you eat when out with friends or family members. Finally, you can use it as a healthy snack. Whenever my chocolate cravings hit mid day, I use it to get in my chocolate fix without all the sugar. 6. What should you mix it with? Water or unsweetened nut milks like cashew, almond, and coconut work best. Try to avoid using milk as it has a good amount of sugar. Other great places to use protein is in oatmeal, Greek yogurt, and smoothies for a flavor boost. This really adds a great taste to the otherwise bland healthy foods. 7. How much should you get in? Best Brands: The best brand of whey protein that we like is ISO 100 Hydrolized by Dymatize, and it can be found here: http://amzn.to/2iVZrt7 Need a vegetarian/vegan option? The best brand of non-whey that we like is Vega Sport Performance, and it can be found here: http://amzn.to/2imXwwr The Health Nerd is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com. https://www.ars.usda.gov/research/publications/publication/?seqNo115=209388 http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0921448806002574 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18469287 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19640952 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11838888 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20847729 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18469287 http://www.smallruminantresearch.com/article/S0921-4488(06)00257-4/abstract https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2289832/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24724774

How to Get Rid of Acne Scars and Spots In Just 3 Days
How to get rid of acne scars and spots? One of the best after acne treatment: it removes acne scars and spots in just 3 days. All the ingredients are natural and very cheap! Getting rid of acne is quite hard on its own, but when you feel like you finally did it, here's another problem – post acne scars and dark spots. We at Bright Side found eight simple and effective ways to remove all these unwanted spots. So, let's get right to the bottom of it! TIMESTAMPS Aloe Vera 1:42 Olive oil 2:33 Apple cider vinegar 3:29 Baking soda 4:41 Lemon juice 5:26 Cucumbers 6:31 Egg whites 7:15 Make ice cubes 8:00 SUMMARY Let’s find out why and how exactly do these acne scars form. The main reason is the inflammation. When you get a pimple, your pore swells, which results in a break in the follicle wall. If this break is deep, it affects the dermal layer of your skin. Your skin detects all these processes and forms new collagen fibers that are made specially to fix this problem. They try to do their best, but they rarely can make your skin just as smooth as it was before, and there it is – your acne scar is here! When it comes to the dark spots, the situation is a bit different. When your skin detects the inflammation, it starts to release way too much melanin, which is a protein that gives the skin its color. And that's how you get a new pink, red or brown “friend.” A lot of people buy tons of expensive creams or even get laser treatment and other cosmetic procedures. However, you can forget about these annoying scars just by making simple homemade remedies! They are available to pretty much everyone – trust me, you won't need any unicorn tears or other impossible-to-find ingredients. Remember that having a good skin care routine is not all. You should also pay attention to your diet. Eat more fruit, vegetables, and fish to get all the needed vitamins. The balanced diet will make your skin healthier just as much as all of these homemade recipes, and when you combine the two – the effect will be astounding! How to change a verb into a noun!
http://www.engvid.com/ With the simple addition of '-ment' or '-ion' to a verb, it becomes a noun! Learn how to change a verb into a noun in this grammar lesson. It's pretty simple, once you understand how it works. Test your skills with the quiz: http://www.engvid.com/change-verbs-into-nouns/ TRANSCRIPT: Hello, my name is Ronnie. I am going to teach you some English. It's going to be great. It's going to be easy, I think. Something that a lot of you have difficulty with in English is nouns, verbs, adjectives, and all those other crazy, crazy things we have in English. I'm going to teach you two tricks that will help you, when you are trying to figure out if a word is a verb or a noun, or when to use a verb. Is it a noun? Do what? So today's lesson is the birth of a noun. You are going to take a verb, it's going to do some magical things, and by the end of the lesson it is going to become a noun, so birth of a noun. How to change a verb to a noun, the first thing we are going to do is have a look at the verbs. We have the verb "employ, develop, move, judge, advertise, and establish." Do you think you see a spelling mistake here? Are you wondering why this is an "s" and not a "z-ed," well, let me tell you something. In the UK also known as England, they would spell it with a zed, whereas in North America we spell it with an "s." So there is a spelling difference. And so, you might see it spelled with a "zed" or an "s." Both of them are correct, if you have spellcheck when you are typing something, it might go wrong. But you might have American spellcheck, so just be careful. So, either "zed" or "s" is correct. "Employ" do you know what that verb means? Have you heard that word, "employ?" It means use or work. The next one we have is "develop;" if you "develop" something it basically means you help to grow. The next one is move. I am moving my right hand, but not my left hand. That would cause much problem. The next one is judge. There's a noun of "judge" and a verb of "judge." To "judge" something means to give your opinion. The next one is "advertise." The "s" and the "zed" the pronunciation is the same. Don't worry. "Advertise" means to tell something, usually you do it for money. You "advertise" something on a website, or you advertise on TV to get a product, to make you money. The next one is "establish, establish means to make something. What we're going to do, two tricks. The first trick is we're going to take these verbs, and we are going to add four letters to make it a noun. The letters are "m-e-n-t." So we have the verb "employ." The noun changes to "employment." Did you just say mint and not m-e-n-t? I did, English pronunciation is difficult. In English we don't say employment, we actually say it like this word, "m-i-n-t." Like a breath mint. So all of these words you must spell with "m-e-n-t," but your pronunciation is going to be "m-i-n-t," like "mint, employment." The next one we have is a "development." "Employment" means job. "Development," we use it to mean an area that has been "developed." You could use it to say it's a building; this is a "development" of this country, or a building of a company. "Move," we have the noun of movement. "Move, move," not "move, move," do you know why I got distracted? Because, I was thinking of a Bob Marley song that's called "A Movement of the People, "movement" of the people. If anyone is a Bob Marley fan out there. "Movement" of people is a good way to remember what this word means. "Movement" basically means a group of people who try and change something in society, so a "movement" is a group of people. The next one is "judge, judgment." It means the same, the noun, and the verb. You give your opinion of something. "Advertisement," an "advertisement" you will see on the subway. You will see everywhere you go, everywhere you look. In the world, people are trying to sell you something in an "advertisement." We usually shorten the word, and just call it an "ad." Next one is "establish," changes to "establishment." For some reason I don't like the word "establishment." "Establishment" means something that has been "established." We usually use it in the form of government or politics; it can also mean a place like a restaurant. I like restaurants. The next trick, trick number one is you take the verb you change it to a noun using "m-e-n-t" or "m-i-n-t" "employment." The next one is this word, "act."
Common Sense Test That 90% of People Fail
Easy but fun personality test. It looks like common sense isn’t so common because according to research, 90% of adults get these questions wrong. Yet kids do just fine. That’s because grown-ups overcomplicate things while children use their common sense and don't overthink. So follow their lead and let's start! 1. Which word would you use if you needed to describe a person who doesn't have all their fingers on one hand? 2. If a plane crashes right on the border between Canada and the United States, where should they bury the survivors? 3. Imagine that you’ve just entered a pitch black room. There’s an oil lamp, a newspaper, and some kindling wood inside the room, but you have only one match. You have to make a tough choice: what will you light first? 4. Mrs. Browny, despite her name, loves the color pink. Her bungalow is decorated entirely in the bubblegum color: pink carpet, furniture, curtains, even the walls are pink. So what color do you imagine the stairs are? 5. 5. One day a man got caught in the pouring rain. Unfortunately, he had no umbrella or hat or anything else he could use to stay dry. Yet not a single hair on his head got wet. How so? 6. How can it be that every single person in a plane crash died, but two people survived? 7. Time for a tricky one so be very attentive: what do you sleep on, sit on, and brush your teeth with? 8. In some months there are 31 days, in others there are 30. But how many months have 28 days? 9. A man dressed in all black from head to toe was walking in the middle of the road. All of a sudden, a huge black car with its headlights off came around the corner and screeched to a halt not to hit him. How on Earth did the driver of the car see the man in black? 10. There were three highly important rooms in the house of an extremely important man. One room was filled with valuable secret documents, the second one was full of money, and in the third room, the man kept expensive jewelry. But one day an arsonist set the house on fire and all the highly important rooms burst into flames. Which of the rooms did the police start to extinguish the fire first and foremost? 11. What’s the biggest problem with snow boots? 12. How do you put a giraffe in a refrigerator? 13. Now, how do you put an elephant in a fridge? 14. Noah builds one more ark and invites all the world’s animals to join him. Every single animal gets onboard, except for one. What animal doesn't board the ark? 15. You’re hiking in the wilderness when you come upon a river. You have to cross it, but you know that crocodiles dwell in rivers there. How can you reach the opposite side without becoming a crocodile’s dinner? What Does Sugar Do To Your Body? 10 Proven Negative Effects of Sugar
To support our channel and level up your health, check out: Our Fast Weight Loss Course: http://thehealthnerds.com/the-science-of-fast-weight-loss-course Our Better Health Basics Course: http://thehealthnerds.com/food-health-happiness Today, we’re going to be answering the question of what does sugar do to your body and the 10 negative effects of sugar. #1. Sugar can give you wrinkles and adds age to your face Scientists from the Leiden University Medical Centre, in the Netherlands, measured the blood sugar levels of 600 men and women aged between 50 and 70. In fact, for every 1mm/liter increase in blood sugar, the perceived age of that person rose by five months. http://www.research.leiden.edu/news/looking-older-blood-sugar-plays-a-role.html #2. Sugar is Also Associated With Acne Foods ranked high on the Glycemic Index such as sugar and refined carbs have been associated with greater amounts of acne on the face and body according to the latest research. A study of Australian men showed that those who ate a diet with a low glycemic load saw a great reduction in overall acne. It was a small study with only 23 men but is still food for thought. https://www.aad.org/media/news-releases/growing-evidence-suggests-possible-link-between-diet-and-acne #3. Sugary drinks cause an 83% increase in developing type II diabetes In one study of 91,249 women showed those who consumed 1 sugar-sweetened beverage a day had an 83% increased risk of developing type II diabetes compared to those who had only 1 a month. #4. People who eat sugar are at a much higher risk of cancer There has been a direct link seen between breast, and colon cancer with sugar consumption. http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/0306987783900956 http://cebp.aacrjournals.org/content/6/9/677.short This is likely due to the fact that insulin is one of the key factors behind the growth and multiplication of cells, and sugar spikes insulin to abnormally high levels. #5. Sugar Can Ruin Your Teeth A study by the American Journal of clinical nutrition showed that sugar destroys the healthy bacteria in our mouth. This can cause tooth erosions and may dim that bright smile. http://ajcn.nutrition.org/content/78/4/881S.full What about sugar and weight gain? There are 5 proven reason sugar leads to added weight gain... #6. Sugar is the premier definition of empty calories. It has no real nutritional value, no nutrients, no minerals, no proteins, and no fiber. Because of this lack of nutrients… #7. Sugar makes you feel hungry In a study by Yale University, those that consumed sugar had an INCREASED appetite and desire for more food. http://yaledailynews.com/blog/2013/01/15/overeating-linked-to-sugar-consumption/ So not only does sugar fill you with empty calories, it makes you want more of those calories. This process happens because sugar screws up hormonal levels in the body. Which leads to #8. Sugar blocks leptin and raises insulin to supernatural levels Leptin is a hormone in charge of telling us we’re full and need to stop eating. It also tells us we have energy and should go out and use that energy. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18703413 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15111494 Sugar consumption blocks this hormone from doing its job and from reaching the brain. http://nutritionandmetabolism.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1743-7075-2-5 9. Sugar causes belly fat Numerous studies have shown direct links from sugar to increased accumulation of belly fat. Despite knowing all this, it’s hard to stop eating sugar because http://www.jci.org/articles/view/37385 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19248858 #10. Sugar is addictive Similar to drugs like cocaine, scientists have now shown that sugar causes a very similar release of dopamine in the brain. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2235907 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2851032/ Studies on neuroplasticity have shown that drug users have similar behavioral addictions to those addicted to sugar. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3139704/ Point black. Sugar is ADDICTING and comes without the immediate social repercussions of frequent drug use. That’s why it’s so hard to stop eating it. How much should you eat per day? None. There is not a reason to be eating this food in your diet, but only on the rare occasion as a treat. What about fruit? Fruit has fiber, vitamins, minerals, water, and tons of nutrients that refined sugar does not have. http://www.bmj.com/content/347/bmj.f5001 Sticking to whole sources like apples, oranges, and berries are a better idea. What should you do if you can’t stop eating sugar? I think this subject needs to be covered in greater detail, so either next week or sometime soon we will be making a video about breaking sugar addiction if that’s something you guys want.

How To Get Rid Of TEETH CAVITY At Home - Dental Cavity Removal
HOW TO REMOVE CAVITY FROM TEETH AT HOME? WATCH this video to learn home remedies for tooth cavities. Home remedies work well in teeth cavities treatment. A tooth is made up of outer coating called enamel and inner layer called dentin. Damage to the tooth causes tooth cavities. Both the layers of a tooth can get affected by tooth decay. What are cavities:- After eating the food particles which get stuck to the teeth are attacked by bacteria present in the mouth, the carbohydrates in these food particles are converted into acids which dissolve the enamel and create cavities. Normally, the cavities keep forming but minerals are replenished by fluoridated water, fluoride containing toothpaste or mineral-rich saliva. These minerals protect the enamel from damage. Fluoride, calcium and phosphate help in remineralisation of enamel. Demineralisation usually starts on the enamel and causes micro cavities to form. This requires proper oral care and attention. But the real problem starts if the cavities get deeper and are formed in the dentin layer (inner) also. Cavities can be very painful, if you are looking for home remedies for cavities, read on. Cavities can trouble not only children but also grownups. Cavities in adults are more serious often because they are usually deeper. Dentists removed the decay by drilling the tooth and fill up with materials like porcelain, silver or gold etc. if the root is affected then root canal treatment is done. Cavity is a common problem with growing up kids. It is one of the main causes of toothache and jaw pain. Some of the symptoms of cavity are difficulty in chewing food, pain and swelling too. The reason for this condition are improper oral hygiene and Excessive intake of starchy and sugary food. This problem can be avoided if good oral habits followed, like brushing twice a day and rinsing the mouth after every meal. While it is necessary to undergo these treatments to prevent the spread of cavities, the pain can however be managed by some home remedies for cavities. https://www.stylecraze.com/articles/amazingly-effective-home-remedies-for-cavities/ Home remedies for teeth cavities:- 1.Sesame Seed Oil for cavities:-Sesame seed oil is amazing to help fight cavities. • Mix 2-3 drops of clove oil in ¼ tsp of sesame seed oil. Put a few drops on cotton ball and place it on affected tooth. This is an effective home remedy for cavities. 2. Swish a mouthful of this solution around in your mouth for 1 minute, concentrating on the affected tooth. Follow this treatment 3 times a day until your symptoms subside. 3. Oil Pulling for cavities: - Oil pulling is an ancient exercise that can help to reduce cavities and also bleeding gums .It can also treat bad breath. How to Pack Clothes for Traveling 👕💼
When traveling it's important to pack efficiently, organized and smart. I show a method to roll your clothing into a tight bundle that makes it compact and easy to transport. Rolling your clothes is a great way to prevent wrinkles and conserve space. When you roll clothing you can fit more than you can normally by folding or just placing clothes into your luggage bag. This can also be used for things other than traveling such as any time you are moving clothing and want to conserve space. The same method can be used on other clothes that I did not demonstrate such a shorts. Which are rolled the same way the pants were rolled. Small items of clothing such as socks and underwear can be placed on top of a T-shirt and rolled up inside the shirt. If you enjoy the channel, please support Von Malegowski: - https://www.paypal.me/VonMalegowski - https://www.patreon.com/vonmalegowski The clothes rolling technique may seem like it takes longer than simply folding the clothes but if you do it more you will become more proficient and see that it really doesn't take much longer and produces better results. If you are worried about wrinkling your clothing you can unpack them when you reach your destination and they shouldn't have any wrinkles yet. If your clothes do have wrinkles I have a video about removing wrinkles from clothes without an iron 👕(https://youtu.be/j0RdBRiHyfE)👕 which shows some easy methods of removing wrinkles. Ideal travel clothing is durable, takes up minimal space and weight, is wrinkle-free, opaque, and matches with the rest of your clothing in style and fit. #2: Be aware of your color palette when selecting clothing. If your color palettes are cross compatible, you will have many outfits from less clothing. #3: Most places you go will have much of what you need. You can buy almost anything, anywhere in the world. So you can get away with only packing half of what you think you’ll need. #4: Versatile, low-maintenance clothing is important when packing light. Consider 5 factors that make an article of clothing desirable when traveling and aim to have each piece you bring satisfy at least 3 of them. - Comfortable for touring around, but can be dressed up for the evening - Is appropriate for cool or warm weather - Doesn’t show stains - Folds up small - Coordinates well with almost everything else you’re bringing By doing this you maximize the usage of each article of clothing so you can bring less. #5: If you’re traveling for longer than 7 days only pack enough clothes for 7 days, no matter how long you’re traveling for. It’s easier to find a Laundromat once a week then carry around the extra weight of more clothing than is necessary. #6: Avoid clothing that is too bulky and may take up too much space and Instead of bringing a bulky jacket, bring a light jacket and dress in layers. #7: A long sleeve and a short sleeve button shirt will work well for most places you travel to as well as some T-shirts. #8: Roll your clothing efficiently to allow for more space. Using the method I demonstrate can save a lot of space and allow you to pack lighter. ESL: Articles, Part 5
Articles Part 5 Rule 13 If the word "of" is not in the name of a school, do not use an article. If "of" is in the name, use "the". However, if you refer to such places by their initials, do not use "the". 1) Boston College, Harvard University, the University of Phoenix, the Manchester Institute of Art, UCLA (The University of California at Los Angeles), MIT (The Massachusetts Institute of Technology) 2) John goes to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. 3) Mary also goes to MIT. If you use the conventional short form of the country's name, which is the last part of the full name, do not use "the". If you use only the first part of the country's name or initials, as long as there is a reference to the government, you still need to use "the". Top 10 Things Every LLC Needs - All Up In Yo' Business
10. Agreements. Whether they are service agreements, independent contractor agreements, subcontractor agreements, etc., most small businesses are going to need some sort of an agreement in place to operate safely (in the legal sense) and effectively. The type of small business you have will determine the types of agreements you will need to have in place. For example, as an attorney, I have a service agreement (called an Engagement Letter) with each and every client that makes it clear what I am going to be doing for the client, my fees, how the client can expect to be billed, what I expect or need from the client, my policies that affect the client, what happens if there is a disagreement between us, and so on and so forth. Most, if not all, small businesses that provide a service to their customers should, at a minimum, at least have a similar type of service agreement with their clients. It protects both the small business and the client. 9, 8, & 7. Licenses. Specifically, Tax Licenses, Business Licenses, and Other Licenses. Honestly, they are all equally important and depend largely on the nature of your small business. 6. Form 2553 (S Corp). This is the IRS form that needs to be filed if you want your small business to elect to be taxed as an S Corporation. Whether or not you need to file form 2553 is going to depend on whether it would make sense for you tax-wise to elect to be taxed as an S Corp. 5. Insurance (General Liability, Workers Comp, etc.). Every small business is going to need some type(s) of insurance. The type of insurance your small business will need also depends on what type of business you are operating. 4. Initial Resolution/Consent. Although this isn’t necessary (at least in Colorado) for all small businesses, it is usually a good idea to have an Initial Resolution or Initial Consent to Action when starting a small business in order to demonstrate that your business has adopted certain documents, like it’s Operating Agreement or Articles of Organization, and that you as the business owner have resolved to operate your business in accordance with those documents. 3. Form SS-4 (Federal Tax ID). IRS Form SS-4 Application for Employer Identification Number is the form that you file with the IRS to get a Federal Tax ID number (aka EIN or Employer Identification Number) for your small business. 2. Operating Agreement or By-Laws. Every LLC needs an Operating Agreement. Let me say that again in case you missed it: every LLC needs an Operating Agreement. Even if it is not required by statute (Colorado does not require it), it is still a vital internal document for your small business to have. An Operating Agreement is the internal document where the owner or owners (aka the members) agree on how the business is going to be operated, i.e., type and nature of business; what the business is going to do; how members are going to get paid; how distributions are going to be made; what will happen in the event of disagreement between the members; etc. All of this information is set forth in the Operating Agreement. The By-Laws of a corporation serve basically the same purpose as the Operating Agreement of an LLC. 1. Articles of Organization (or Articles of Incorporation). Every single LLC in existence must have Articles of Organization. I can say this with complete certainty because you will need to file Articles of Organization with the Secretary of State in order to create your LLC. Bottom line: if you did not file Articles of Organization, then you don’t have an LLC. Similarly, every corporation in existence must have Articles of Incorporation. The Articles of Organization or Incorporation are what brings the LLC or corporation into a legal existence. Without them, your small business, whether it is a corporation or an LLC, does not legally exist. Contact Aiden and learn more at www.180lawco.com. Prepositions - ( on, in, at ) in relation to time. - Free English & Grammar Lessons What are prepositions? Prepositions are short words (on, in, at) that usually stand in front of nouns (sometimes also in front of gerund verbs). Even advanced learners of English find prepositions difficult, as a one to one translation is usually not possible. One preposition in your native language might have several translations depending on the situation. There are hardly any rules as to when to use which preposition. The only way to learn prepositions is looking them up while reading a lot in English and learning useful phrases off by heart . In this lesson Rachna brings out some prepositions rules ( in, on, at ) in relation to time.

If you are a drone enthusiast of any sort, it's important that you know our hobby is under attack. The landscape is about to change when it comes to regulating drones, and we, the recreational pilots have not even been invited to the discussion. It's important to note, that I do think some revisions are necessary as drones continue to fill our skies. There's no denying that the risk of catastrophe increases each day. However, as the changes are discussed, there needs to be a well-rounded representation of all stakeholders. You can also add 1/4 cup of isopropyl rubbing alcohol, but since there is conflicting information on it’s toxicity I chose not to use it. 3 - Easy way to get rid of deodorant stains from shirts – use pantyhose, it’s like a deodorant stain magic eraser! 4 - To clean the inside of narrow bottles – pour in some vinegar, a teaspoon of baking soda and water and let it sit for 15-20 minutes, this will disinfect and dissolve all the residue from the bottom – just rinse it out with water and you’re done. 5 - Air deodorizer/disinfectant use tee tree oil in a diffuser, a diffuser breaks up the oil molecules in the air which cleans it of bacteria, viruses, molds and other germs – if anyone in your house is sick with a cold or flu this can help clean the air and prevent it from spreading! Link and more info about my diffuser can be found in my Night Routine video. 6 - Easy way to clean your blender –fill it with water and a dash of dish soap and then run the blender. No scrubbing necessary and just rinse clean. 7 - Sponges can harvest a lot of bacteria – to disinfect wet it with water and put in the microwave for 2 minutes. It will be hot so leave it in there to cool off for a minute before grabbing it. 8 - An easy DIY sponge holder that allows your sponge to air dry and prevents mildew formation - just use a large binder clip 9 - How to clean coffee maker. Use ½ water and ½ vinegar solution and run that through your coffee maker. Then run it two more times with just water. After doing this you will notice your coffee with taste fresher! 10 - To clean out your microwave put ½ cup vinegar in water and run your microwave for 3 minutes. This will create a steam that will loosen and caked on food and allow you to easily wipe it clean 11 - To both unclog and freshen your drain – use ½ cup baking soda and a cup of vinegar this will remove the fatty acids that accumulate on your pipes and also will leave your disposal smelling fresh 12 - To create your own natural disinfecting spray just add 20 drops of tee tree oil to water - I also add some lemon because I like the smell. Keep this with you in your purse 13 - Another option is to use a tin mint container and cotton pads to have premoistened wipes with you 14 - To deodorize and disinfect a cutting board, rub it with lemon and baking soda, and then finish by rubbing it with coconut oil , which will keep it protected and prevent it from cracking 15 - A super easy fruit and veggie wash is to soak in a bath of water and vinegar. Then drain and rinse with water. 16 - To get rid of pet hair on the carpet between vacuuming you can use a squeegee 17 - DIY reusable dryer sheets. Vinegar is a natural fabric softener. Fill glass jar with ½ cup of vinegar and 15-20 drops of your essential oil of choice – whatever you want your clothes to smell like. Then put several rags in the mixture and seal the container. Be able to diminish the stress in your life and live longer by eating a plant based diet. https://immunityageing.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1742-4933-9-9 Abstract…There is a huge volume of data on the beneficial effects of plant-derived extracts to retard ageing and age-associated diseases. Many phytochemicals are synthesized to increase the fitness of the plant by allowing it to interact with its environment, including herbivorous pathogens, and insects. Some well-known phytochemicals may induce in humans beneficial stress responses and with low-dose exposures, they can trigger a cellular stress response and subsequently induce adaptive stress resistance, also called hormesis. Stress resistance involves several molecular adaptations and induces many of the nutrient-sensing longevity pathways discussed above. The role of hormesis in ageing has already been examined by Rattan but also its relevance to explain the anti-ageing and life-extending actions of CR in long-lived species. Growing up I had a lot of health challenges; changed my path to the raw food diet…Shakaya Leone, 51 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3662288/ Abstract…..physicians looking for cost-effective interventions to improve health outcomes are becoming more involved in helping their patients adopt healthier lifestyles. Healthy eating may be best achieved with a plant-based diet, which we define as a regimen that encourages whole, plant-based foods and discourages meats, dairy products, and eggs as well as all refined and processed foods. We present a case study as an example of the potential health benefits of such a diet. Research shows that plant-based diets are cost-effective, low-risk interventions that may lower body mass index, blood pressure, HbA1C, and cholesterol levels. They may also reduce the number of medications needed to treat chronic diseases and lower ischemic heart disease mortality rates. Physicians should consider recommending a plant-based diet to all their patients, especially those with high blood pressure, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or obesity. “What you choose to eat can make a difference for the rest of your life”..Vivian , 54.. http://www.vegetariannutrition.org/2013-abstracts.html Abstract. Among the most consistent findings in nutritional epidemiology is that certain diet patterns are associated with lower chronic disease risk over very long follow-up periods. The favorable patterns are typically called “Prudent”, while the corresponding unfavorable patterns are “Western”. The Prudent patterns are notably plant-centered and focus on favorable preparation methods and minimal preprocessing by industry. http://www.plantbasedresearch.org/ https://www.researchgate.net/publication/293329136_Vegetarian_vegan_diets_and_multiple_health_outcomes_A_systematic_review_with_meta-analysis_of_observational_studies http://www.pnas.org/content/113/15/4146.full http://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/taking-aim-at-belly-fat

These four phrases contain the synopsis of GST needed for general studies syllabus.
