RUSSIAN experts speculating about the future of RUSSIA - PHILIPPINE in THE SOUTH CHINA SEA | Hot News According to Yuri Tavrovsky, political experts in Asia said that Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has warranted his thinking in choosing the direction to China instead of the United States to resolve the South China Sea issue. "The decision of the International Court of Arbitration of the South China Sea issue is brought into the Philippines against China, and the US said they would support the country in many aspects. But so far it is unclear whether the US will do so or not, and he does not want to confront Duterte China as military power between the two sides so the difference "- he said Tavrovsky. Moreover, within the Philippines must have many opposing factions could take advantage of any negligence of Duterte to sabotage President, therefore, he had to try to attract the support of the people by the his spokesman, the Russian expert said. But, according to Professor Larisa Efimova, Philippines can completely separated from the influence of the US and leaning toward supporting China but will not rely on Beijing by the economic harm is the lesson. Ports and airfields have been built on reefs in the sea by the rising Asian superpower in defiance of international law. A Sydney-based expert says the strike group – headed by the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson - demonstrates American resolve in standing up to China. Euan Graham, of the Lowy Institute for International Policy, told Nine.com.au the deployment of US naval forces in the disputed waters was 'business as usual' in one sense. Fighters on the flight deck of the USS Carl Vinson. (AP).“But an aircraft carrier makes the point the US is able to match any escalation with China in the area.”The Carl Vinson carries 72 aircraft - including advanced fighters and surveillance planes - and about 5000 sailors. The giant vessel - launched in 1980 at a cost of $4.8billion - is escorted by a screen of frigates and missile destroyers. Dr Graham said the strike group’s deployment shows how seriously the US and its allies take freedom of navigation through the South China Sea. Admiral Harry Harris, the commander of the US Pacific Fleet, said China was seeking to build a "great wall of sand" to claim the South China Sea. One of the artificial reefs built by China and fitted with military facilities in the South China Sea. (AP).US President Donald Trump has nominated Admiral Harris to be the US ambassador to Australia. While hosting Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull in Washington on the weekend, Trump said the US “would love to have Australia involved” in naval patrols through the waters. And next month Britain will send an anti-submarine frigate through the South China Sea to assert freedom of navigation. The flexing of US military muscle also aims to reassure regional allies who dispute China’s claim of sovereignty there. File photo by Nicolas Asfouri/AFP MANILA, Philippines – China defended President Rodrigo Duterte from the tirade of the United Nations (UN) human rights chief that the Philippine leader needs to undergo "psychiatric evaluation" after his diatribes against UN rapporteurs. In a press conference, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang said on Monday, March 12, that "anyone without bias can see" that Duterte has made "achievements" in matters such as fighting illegal drugs and improving people's jobs. The UN high commissioner on human rights, Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein, is one of the staunchest critics of Duterte's war on drugs and his "authoritarian approach to governance." Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on Monday slammed Zeid for his "crude language," while Foreign Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano countered the UN official by saying "the world actually needs more Dutertes." China's comment comes as the Duterte administration vows friendlier ties with China. Philippines ‘rebuilding runway on South China Sea island’ SUBSCRIBE my channel here: https://goo.gl/F8gn4Z G+ here: https://goo.gl/UzMJVe ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Philippines has started repairing a runway and upgrading other facilities on Thitu Island, the South China Sea territory that was last year the scene of a stand-off between Chinese and Philippine vessels, according to a Washington-based think tank. Satellite images taken on May 17 show two barges anchored near the western edge of the runway, one of which appears to be fitted with a grab dredger, which comprises a crane with clamshell bucket, the Centre for Strategic and International Studies said on Saturday. China protests being kicked out of US military exercise The airstrip on Thitu Island was built in the 1970s and was the first of its kind in the Spratly Islands. Over time, however, the western end of the runway crumbled which, coupled with the poor condition of its surface, made it difficult for aircraft to take-off and land. Besides the repairs to the runway, seven new buildings were built on Thitu last year, four of them close to a residential area on the eastern side of the island. The stand-off, in August, happened when a fleet of Chinese vessels, including fishing, coastguard and navy ships, blocked a ship from the Philippine Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources from approaching the area. Philippine congressmen Gary Alejano said at the time that a helicopter dispatched from a Chinese navy vessel had also been seen flying over sandbars to the northwest of Thitu. The Philippines had long planned to repair its facilities on the island, but the work was put on hold apparently in response to protests from Beijing. Collin Koh, a research fellow with the Maritime Security Programme at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, said the decision to proceed with the repairs and upgrades on Thitu might be a sign of the growing domestic pressure on Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte to stand up to Beijing. “There have been numerous developments: t... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In May, Tokyo’s ships were in the Bay of Bengal in an unprecedented exercise with France, Australia and the United States. Canada, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei and The Philippines have also conducted drills with the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force. Japan is set to increase the stakes by configuring Izumo to accommodate US stealth fighters with Tokyo being 42 of its own. US President Donald Trump has voiced his opposition that the agreements between Tokyo and Washington mean that the US are responsible for what he regards as a disproportionate amount of Japan’s defence. South China Sea: Vietnam Dares What Philippines Didn't SUBSCRIBE my channel here: https://goo.gl/F8gn4Z G+ here: https://goo.gl/UzMJVe ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AP Photo/Kin Cheung)ASSOCIATED PRESS In the South China Sea disputes, Vietnam dares to do what the Philippines didn’t: challenge China’s mission to turn the vast waterway into its own sea. That’s according to a recent Reuters report, which claims that Vietnam is pushing for a pact that will outlaw many of China’s ongoing activities in the South China Sea.  Like the building of artificial islands, blockades and offensive weaponry such as missile deployments; and the Air Defence Identification Zone—a conduct code China initiated back in 2013. This isn’t the first time Hanoi is challenging China’s claims in the South China Sea. Back in July of 2017, Vietnam granted Indian oil firm ONGC Videsh a two-year extension to explore oil block 128, according to another Reuters report. And that’s something Beijing loudly opposed. In recent years, China has considered the South China Sea its own. All of it, including the artificial islands Beijing has been building in disputed waters, and the economic resources that are hidden below the vast sea area. And it is determined to use its old and new naval powers to make sure that no other country reaches for these resources without its permission. Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte understands Beijing’s determination very well. Back in April of 2018 he reversed his earlier decision to raise the Philippine flag in disputed islands, following Beijing’s “friendly” advice. A year before that incident, the Philippines and its close ally, the U.S., won an international arbitration ruling that China has no historic title over the waters of the South China Sea. Yet Duterte didn’t dare enforce it. Instead, he sided with Beijing on the dispute, and sought a “divorce” from the U.S.  Duterte’s flip-flops saved peace in the South China Sea by changing the rules of the game for China and the US, at least according to his own wisdom. That doesn’t ... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is how china moves the world to a gold standard!

This is how china moves the world to a gold standard! SUBSCRIBE my channel here: https://goo.gl/F8gn4Z Source video: http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/2/904619008?-18311:4194:3 G+ here: https://goo.gl/UzMJVe ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We have watched for years as China grew in strength economically, financially and militarily. They have prepositioned themselves by making trade deals, setting up credit facilities and even an alternative clearing system to the West’s “SWIFT”. We also know China has been gobbling up global mine supply of gold for going on 10 years now. As I’ve written in the past, just using the back of a napkin, it can be surmised they now have hoarded 20,000 tons or more compared to the “supposed” 8,133 tons held by the US. It is clear China has meticulously readied themselves to take the role of world leadership from the U.S. but do they really want the responsibility AND burden of issuing the reserve currency? This has always been the question and the answer from logical thinkers is “no”. No, because we and of course China have seen the result of the “burdens” that comes along with the privilege of issuing the reserve currency. I must confess, I too did not believe China would desire or even accept the responsibility of reserve currency status. I now believe this thought is mistaken I will explain shortly. The announcement of “yuan for oil, convertible into gold” is a game changer httpwww.zerohedge.com . China imports about 8 million barrels of oil per day, this works out to 3 billion barrels per year. At $50 per barrel, the oil trade by China is about $150 billion per year. If we compare that to total global production of gold, we find the 80 million ounces produced and priced at $1,300 currently amounts to just over $100 billion. In other words, China consumes more oil in dollar terms than ALL the gold produced in the world. Think about this for a moment, at current pricing, just one country uses more oil than the entire world produces money? Does the word “reset” at all come to mind? Taking just one step back, China has over the last few years imported roughly 2,000 tons of gold per year. If we add India’s imports of roughly 1,000 tons per year, we see combined they are importing more than the 2,500 that are produced. These numbers by themselves illustrate that the gold supply had to come from somewhere …and that “somewhere” can only be from Western vaults. In order to extend and pretend their financial systems and currencies were sound, the West led by the U.S. has been bleeding their gold reserves. Now, getting back to China, here is why I believe they are leading the world BACK to a gold standard If China imports oil and pays with yuan and offers their yuan “convertible” into gold, how many oil producers will take them up on the conversion? Certainly not 100% and maybe not 50%. Maybe the number is only 25% or even less but that’s not important as “time” will take over. You must ask yourself, how long ... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(AP Photo) MANILA--The Philippine president says he has no intention of going into war over territorial feuds but will order the navy to fire if other countries extract resources from waters within his country's exclusive economic zone. President Rodrigo Duterte told a news conference late Friday that the Philippines will continue talks with China over disputed South China Sea territories. He also stressed the Philippines' sovereign rights over Benham Rise, a vast offshore frontier off his country's northeast. "But just the same, we cannot fight America, just like China. I'll just keep quiet," Duterte said. "But if you get something there from the economic zone, I will order the navy to fire." Duterte was referring to the country's 200-nautical mile exclusive economic zone, a stretch of sea where coastal states have been granted exclusive rights to exploit natural resources under a 1982 U.N. treaty. Foreign ships, however, could pass through those waters but could not fish or extract oil and gas from the under the seabed. There were no immediate comments from U.S. or Chinese embassy officials. Duterte recently ordered an end to all foreign scientific research missions in Benham, which his government has renamed Philippine Rise, and asked the navy and air force to patrol the waters. Some believe the waters could be harboring undersea gas and oil deposits aside from its rich fishing grounds. "I'm putting notice to the world that the Philippine Rise, which we call Benham Rise, is ours ... and the economic zone is ours," Duterte said. Benham Rise, which faces the Pacific Ocean, is approximatel... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE SOUTH CHINA SEA:PHILIPPINES will buy RUSSIAN weapons after claiming farewell AMERICAN | Hot News

THE SOUTH CHINA SEA: Philippines will buy Russian weapons after claiming "farewell" American? Tensions between Manila and Washington are increasing. In a series of speeches this week, Philippine President Duterte had declared his willingness to "break up the United States" and adjust the foreign policy of world powers because the US "has failed us." Mr. Duterte also warned that if the United States refused to sell weapons to the Philippines, Manila can easily be turned to Russia and China. "If they do not want to sell weapons, we will go to Russia." "I was sent to Russia and Russian generals say" do not worry, we have all what you need. We will sell them to you ... And with China, they said, "Come and signed and everything will be transferred," Mr. Duterte claims. The latest comments came after he Duterte announced last month that Manila may try to "swing pivot" to China and Russia to counterbalance the United States and the larger is the influence of the West. Then he planned Duterte visited both Moscow and Beijing to seek to promote economic relations with both powers, including investment from Russia and China, especially in the field of aviation and telecommunication.
